Milwaukee Rehearsal Dinner Ideas

I am having a very large rehearsal dinner, up to 120 people, in downtown Milwaukee.  We don't want it to be a formal sit down dinner and would prefer to have either a buffet or passed appetizers and stations with extra tables in the area.  We are considered going to Bacchus, but I am looking for other ideas as well.  I haven't lived in Wisconsin for several years and am having a hard time thinking of other places that are right in the downtown area.

Any recommendations?

Bacchus is really expensive.  Do you have a high budget for the rehearsal dinner?

    You could look into:
    Swig
    The Knick
    Buca di Beppo
    Joey Buonas
    Water Street Brewery
    Rock Bottom Brewery
    Osteria Del Mundo
    Coast
    Eagan's on Water

I'm doing mine at Bacchus next Friday, and I only have 32 people.  We're in the Lakefront Dining room, and I imagine you'd be in the Conservatory, but 120 would be kind of tight even in that room. However, if you're going to have good weather you could have the doors open and people could go in and out of the Conservatory.

Bacchus is a great space with great food!

How about the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts?  That's a good space too. :)

    Good luck!

What about something more casual?  Long Wong's on Bluemound near Miller Park is a 'Chinese American Sports Bar.'  Their large back room can be rented for $400 and it has bowling lanes, pool table, air hockey and lots more.  There is a raised seating area for tables and a buffet line, and what could be more Milwaukee than a fish fry?  We added some chinese food to the buffet and I know it will be great since I am copying my brother who had their rehearsal there a few years ago.  OR maybe Friday's at Miller Park?

Miller Park had their own event spaces too.  That might be a cool option.

Hotel Metro is great, they have banquet rooms that you can rent.  Joey Buona's would definitely have the space for your group.  Rock Bottom would be a good place too.

There are party rooms to rent, or you can rent out the bar area. They can set it up anyway you want.

Thanks everyone!  I think we are going with Cuvee.  We can bring in a caterer which gives us a lot of flexibility! Now we just have to nail down how many people are really coming.
