Hi all! Been a while since I posted. Random stuff going on in life.

I broke my right middle finger. More precisely, DH accidentally broke it for me. I've already forgiven him, but he's still beating himself up about it. Im having great fun showing off the exact digit at work.

Im going to PA in August for grandma's 93rd birthday. Bringing her cupcakes from the place we got the wedding cake (sent her cupcakes at that time too, and she loved them).

At the end of August I'm starting another graduate degree that will help me specialize further in my area of practice. Because im insane like that.

DH and inlaws are doing pretty well all things considered. Still waiting on final report from medical examiner so the estate can be finally closed.

What's up with everyone else today?

Wow, lots going on!  I have thought of your family from time to time.  What a said situation.  Glad to hear DH and ILs are doing okay.

Are you getting an LLM?  In what area?

I'm studying for the bar.  Or not-studying today because I'm still tired from FBIL's wedding weekend, and today is NY Corporations, which I am feeling cocky about because I recently did very well on it in law school.

Ouch, I'm sorry to hear about your finger! Good for you on your new Graduate degree, though!

Not much going on today. Slow day at work. Well. More that my coworker is on vacation for 2 weeks, gave me a quick overview of what I would need to do in her absence (part of my new duties) and I have no clue what I'm doing. There is one thing I need to send out today, and I'm feeling 50/50 on it. I could always ask another coworker who used to do this before me, but of course he took a personal day today. 

It's a nice day out (although hot), so after work and the gym I'm thinking of picking up some stuff from Trader Joe's and having a picnic with FI by the river. With some of my special yummy margaritas to sip on I want to do more fun summer activities.

And my Summer Fridays start this week, so I'm going to go in the calendar to schedule my half day friday's for the rest of the summer!

Just got back today from a weeklong trip to Spain with friends and FI. It was incredible and delicious! FI was supposed to be on a letter flight today but it was cancelled so he gets an extra day in Barcelona-but I will miss him! I'm pretty jet lagged and not looking forward to working tomorrow. Plus my dog is at the behaviorist (due to his occasional, unpredictable biting problem) but he's being really good for the behaviorist. For once, go ahead and be bad, doggie!

Today is pretty slow for me at work. Just a couple more hours of pretending to work work and then I will be free!!!

I'm bored at work. And hungry, because I forgot to replenish my snack cabinet. And cranky, because I moved into a new office and now my desk has a random file cabinet installed under it, so there's no place for my legs to go. (The offices here were meant for one person, but they have 2 people in each, so there isn't enough room to just sit at the portion of the desk that's clear underneath.) Facilities is ignoring our request to remove it. One of our associates spent about half an hour this morning trying to detach it with a little pocket screwdriver and couldn't get the screws all out.

To add to the crankiness, it's a gorgeous day out so I want to go for a bike ride or to the pool after work, and can't do either because I sliced my finger open over the weekend and ended up with 3 stitches. It's right where my pinky finger meets my hand, so I can't close my hand enough to grip the bike handle bars, or put enough pressure to squeeze the brake, or submerge it in water. Wah.

Mine was my left middle finger and a client broke it for me. I got all sorts of jokes about it.  Somewhere in an X-ray archive there is one of me flipping of the camera so they could get the proper view.

JC- not an llm, going for an MS Pharm in pharmaceutical regulation. Because I'm crazy :-)

Sara- Dh and I were horsing around as usual and he pretended to kick me in the butt. Problem was I instinctively put out my hand to stop his foot, and so he kicked me in the fingers.

Im not sure who had the biggest meltdown- me from the shock and pain, or him freaking out that he'd injured me. For the record, he insisted I get my hand checked, solicitously got me ice and wine, and refuses to let me handle anything heavy or bulky (such as the laundry) until the doctor clears my finger.

FI once dislocated my left ring finger with a pillow. It's memory foam, he tossed it, I tried to catch it and it hit my finger and popped it out of the socket. He felt terrible about it, and I couldn't wear my e-ring for weeks.

Today I moved a 500 pound piano by myself and now I'm tired.

FI had a shitty day so I got him ice cream sandwiches and made taco salad for dinner. He seems a little happier now.

FI is knocked out on the couch. The loooong set of night shifts is over and he's going to be in a weird non-sleeping place tonight and tomorrow. Hopefully he gets it together before he has to go back in for a day shift on Friday.

I am wasting time pricing out venues and their meal/bar plans for my mom so I can prove it to her with hard numbers that the number I have that includes fucking EVERYTHING POSSIBLE (I mean fucking everything) is more cost effective than many of the local all-in-one venues that she wants us to use because she thinks it will work out cheaper.

Just the food/booze/venue rental/ceremony fee at some of these places blows the budget. Sans decor or really anything else. SHE GONNA LEARN TODAY... or tomorrow because that is when I will see her.

FI texted me at 5 and said he was going for a bike ride, and if I wanted pizza for dinner to go ahead and order and have it delivered at 6:30. Um, what kind of question is that, of course I want pizza! It's now 6:34, pizza just got here, FI's not home yet, and if he doesn't hurry he's gonna get home and find all the bacon missing.

OK, FI's not a bitch. But I still love that gif. 

He got home just in time. The only early casualties were two breadsticks.

@lolo883 aren't you proud- I finally saw my first J Law movie last night haha. American hustle. Was actually kinda boring but she was fab!

@jenna8984 I actually didn't like that movie, but I loved Silver Linings Playbook

Whaaaaaaaat?! Go watch Silver Linings Playbook. And read The Hunger Games, then watch the movie. Then watch X-Men: First Class. Like Crazy was pretty good, kinda slow. But maybe I just can't relate. Not that I can relate to The Hunger Games, I suppose. lol

I'm sorry about your finger. If it makes your DH feel better, FI accidentally shattered the bone on the bridge my nose playing dodge-ball (collision, not ball) and I had to have two surgeries to fix it and it still isn't the same. And I'm still crazy enough to marry the boy. My family pittied him more than me and he felt terrible.

I've been dying to see silver linings playbook. The man who wrote it lives an hour from me so I think that's neat and it just looks good. I have no interest in hunger games just not my taste. I didn't know she's in Xmen I will def get down on that!
