I am having a rustic theme wedding ceremony and reception in April 2012. Our wedding will be outdoors (if weather permits) and our reception is in a old 1800's rustic barn. I personally think it is beautiful. My fiance is a farmer is Illinois and I live in Indiana. I will be moving Illinois once we are married so I really wanted to have my wedding in Indiana and I think the rustic theme and old barn fits me and his personalities perfect. I have a lot of family and friends who have stuck their noses up when i mention my wedding at a barn. I'm having a hard time dealing with it. Iv actually have had one close friend tell another if i have my wedding in a barn she is not coming. The barn is gorgeous in my eyes and its not going to be dirty smelly barn like I think a lot of people think. We are decorating in all white lights and the barn has 2 balconys which will be decorated very nicely and of course we are going to clean it spotless. I guess I'm just looking for positive input on my issue.
I just need to keep telling myself it is about me and my future husband and the wedding should reflect us and not everyone else.
Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
