What are you or did you get your girls as gifts? Trying to find more ideas! Edit* Just realized where I posted this! :) Ooops!

Re: Bridesmaids Gifts?

  • Just set your budget and shop for them as if it were a birthday present. They don't have to all get the same thing and it should not be wedding related. :)

  • Just keep in mind that if you get them something related to your wedding/that you're requiring them to wear for your wedding, its not really a BM gift.

Get them individual gifts - a mug and tea for the tea drinker, a book for the reader, a cookbook/cutting board for the chef, a new yoga mat for the yogi, a clutch for the party girl, some earrings/a scarf for the accessorizer... Etc.

  • Maid of Honor: Jewelry box with a poem about friendship on it, filled with her favorite candy.
Bridesmaids: Bracelets.  These were not for the wedding though they did choose to wear them.  They are cousins, less than a year apart in age, who have a ton in common so their gifts are often similar.

  • I went against the advice of the ladies on here and got my girls monogrammed tote bags. We all love tote bags though and they use them every day. I filled them with things for them specifically though. Their favorite perfume, nail polish in a color they would like, candle in a scent they would like, a gift card to their favorite store, and a make up bag that matched the tote. I also bought them all pearl necklaces to wear for the wedding, but I figured since I got them all that other stuff it would be ok. The pearl necklace is also something that they will all wear after also.

  • I did monogrammed lunch totes for both my girls b/c they both bring their lunch to work every day and have other monogrammed bags. One of them even uses monogrammed bags for her groceries.  Since there were only 2 of them, and they both would like such a gift, it worked for me to get this particular gift for both of them. But the best rule of thumb is to shop for them individually as if it were their birthday or Christmas. You want to get them something they will like, not just some wedding industry bridesmaid crap, you know?
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • Both of my girls love purses, so they each got a Coach purse but picked especially for them.  So one got something a bit more out there design wise while my sister got something simple and more her style.

  • I bought clutch purses for each girl in a pattern I thought they'd like, with a personalized compact mirror (with their name, not my wedding info), lip gloss, nail file, mints, etc. inside. Useful at the wedding or any other time, and they don't have to bring it to the reception. If I have any leftover money (ha!) I'll add a gift card to someplace each girl likes.

  • I have 6 girls: they'll each get a Kate Spade bag (on sale - woo!), a bottle of wine, and a gift card to a store they really like. I love @tammym1001 's idea of nail polish though... I may have to add that to the goody bags.
  • I think I am going to get them all bracelets, but ones specifically for their style. They DO NOT have to wear it at the wedding, but if they chose to do so cool. I am also going to write a letter for each girl stating how important it is for me to have them by my side and how much I appreciate them in my life.
