Where did you get your wedding dress/BM dresses?

I have looked at some at David's Bridal, but I just had a couple of friends have HORRIBLE experiences so I am looking for a different place to go.  Any suggestions?

I ended up getting my dress at Kathryns in McHenry IL. I found a dress that I liked at Eva's in Oak Creek but I didn't like Evas and wanted to shop around. Kathryns was the only place nearby that had my dress, but it turned out to be a great store and the sales people were very nice. They didn't seem pushy and fake like some of the other places I've been around here. I live in Racine, so McHenry was only an hour drive for me.

My BM's are getting their dresses from David's Bridal but I got my wedding dress from Vera's Clearance Center in Janesville. VERY nice, helpful and good to work with.  My sister got married 3 years ago and she had us get our BM dresses from Beautiful Bride on the east side of Madison by McDonald's off East Washington. We had good service there as well. Not sure where in the state you are but those are just some suggestions.

I got both my dress and the bridesmaid's dresses from Stone Manor in Cedarburg. I've had wonderful experiences there and the girls are great. Good luck!

I got everything at David's Bridal and was very happy.  I looked at Vera's in Madison and was really disappointed with the push sales staff.

Friends have gone to Bradi's in New Glarus and have enjoyed the experience.

Ditto, this is where I got my dress, my sister got hers, and a cousin did as well.  Love everything about them and their facilities, I don't think we would ahve gotten a better experience anywhere else.  Bonus, they are NOT in the shady practice of tag ripping.

I did get my BM dresses at David's Bridal in Brookfield.  We had a great experience there.  Try not to go on a weekend, but if you do, try and go first thing in the morning ... they are less likely to be too busy and behind in their schedules.

I got my dress at Eva's Bridal in Oak Creek.  Yes, they tag rip, but you don't need an appointment to go in, they are super helpful and sweet!   Plus, they have a special going on right now, if you donate $10 to the Hunger Task Force, they'll knock a percentage off the dress.  I have also heard good things about Savvy Bridal in Brookfield and Amelishan Bridal in Hubertus.  Good luck!

I bought my dress at Stone Manor in Cedarburg (highly recommended!), but I also really had a great dress shopping day at Gigi's of Mequon.  Super helpful and sweet salesgirls at both shops, both had beautiful dresses, but Stone Manor had the one dress that was PERFECT in the end.  Nice girls at David's Bridal on Southside, but the dresses that I tried on were made of materials that I did not like, nor thought that they were very flattering.

BM dresses were designed by one of my sisters...hoping to see the finished results soon!

I got my dress at Vera's in Madison.  I was very happy with my consultatant.  I wasn't sure what I wanted and she was able to make suggestions and lead me in the right direction.  I think we went over our appointment time, but she didn't seem to mind.

I got my dress at Germaine's Bridal in Lake Geneva. They had a great selection, and were so helpful. My dress was a little out of my price range and when I mentioned that I had found it online for $400 less, they gave me the discount. They have been fabulous, and I only have good things to say about them!

I got my dress at Amelishan in Richfield/Hubertus.  The service was BY FAR THE BEST service I had at all the bridal shops I went to.  We're getting the BM dresses there too.

I also looked at Savvy Bride and the service was just awful.  My friend had such good service there and it's unfortunate that they ruined their chances of getting business from me.  Needless to say, I sent them a VERY long email explaining how BAD BAD BAD the service was.

I too had a horrible experience at Savvy Bridal.  The dress selection was great, but the customer service was terrible.  The person appointed to us stood outside the dressing room the entire time talking to her co-worker, and then she knocked on the door and told us another appointment was there, and we had to leave.  I was not told when I called nor when I arrived for the appointment we would only be allotted a certain amount of time.  I found a bridesmaid dress that I loved there, but I will be going elsewhere to purchase it.  Their customer service just lost them over $1200 in bridesmaid dress sales.

Went dress shopping over the weekend - great experiences at 3 places, not so much at 2.

    Top 3 -
    1. Savvy (am going back this week to place my order) - Jenny is FANTASTIC, wonderful selection
    2. Amelishan - Brenda is great - she is studying fashion design at Mount Mary and was very insightful, great selection
    3. Beratti - interesting selection, nice staff

    Bottom 2 -
    1. David's Bridal in Brookfield
    2. Eva's - AWFUL!!!!!  We were there on Sunday with an appointment and it was BAD - terrible selection - everything was a ballgown, and inattentive staff

And for any girls out there over a size 14 - I had great luck finding dresses I could try on in varied styles at my top 3.

I actually found my BM's dresses at David's.. I've been eyeing them up before we get engaged!.. they were clearanced when I bought them. BUT.. There is this wonderful shop on Waupun, WI.  Its called Timeless Bridal, and the owner is super sweet! She is amazing! And the store has everything from really expensive, or really cheap. Mine was 70% percent off! They also have BM's dresses there too! My mother and future mother-in-law found their dresses there too! It was a dream come true! Easiest dress shopping I've ever done with my mother!
