Dueling Piano's

Question for the experts, experienced brides, or others. My fiancée and I are considering having dueling pianos perform at our reception for the first two hours and then switching to a DJ for the remainder of the night. What do you think? My fiancée’s concern is that it will take the attention off of us. I think that it is “us” because we saw them for the first time when we were in Vegas for my birthday and now we look up different performers and visit the different venues all the time.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Would the dueling pianos be during the cocktail hour/dinner time, then the DJ would start after everyone was done with dinner?

    If so, that sounds awesome!!

The Pianos would be the start of the entertainment for the reception. 8:00 - 10:00 After everyone is done eating and the DJ would finish up the reception 10:00-1:00.

Love it!! Good dueling piano players will give great energy to the party. A friend used dueling pianos for her whole reception...it was such a blast!

I have never seen dueling pianos but it sounds like fun!  How can I find a local performance?

    Thanks

We're doing the exact same thing so I love the idea!

How do you rent out the dueling pianos?  Do you get the guys from Lucille's or somewhere else?  How much does it cost?  Thanks!

Since this post is kinda old, I'm assuming you have already booked something, but just wanted to throw my 2 cents in.  Dueling pianos are AWESOME.  One of my friend's had them at her wedding and even now, almost 2 years later, everyone still talks about how fun the wedding was because of the entertainment.  If you feel you need to great, but I don't even think you would need a DJ.  My friends booked Piano Fondue and they literally play everything, from country to slow songs to rapping 'baby got back'!!!  Good luck!  :)
