help with shoes for my dress!

Does anyone think that these shoes are too casual for a formal wedding? My dress is a ball gown (Justin Alexander 8720 to be specific), and I keep on debating on my shoes. I am trying to tell myself that comfort is more important than style since there is a lot of cobblestone and hard floor areas at my venue, and I have arch problems with my feet. Please help and give your opinion on what you think, thanks!

If you're not going to see them, it's not a huge deal. But those don't look like shoes you'll ever want to wear again. Can you find a pair that you'd actually wear again on date or with a cocktail dress? Then you can wear them and think of your wedding fondly.

While I'm not a fan of glitter, these are examples of shoes you could wear out/on a date/etc. without looking like you borrowed shoes from a flower girl, etc.... Even if you don't like glitter, like me, you get the idea:

Personally I don't think they are too casual. I think you're fine if you like them and they are comfortable. And they won't show anyway.

But I may be biased because I'm wearing wedge sandals that are more on the casual side. My wedding is outdoors in a wooded area with lots of steps and gravel, and my main concern is comfort and being able to walk! But my shoes won't show, I like them, and they are very "me" so I don't care.

I wouldn't say they are too casual, but they aren't very nice, IMO. Maybe you can wear a pair of flats and put an insole in them if you need more arch support or something. Example of a cute flat:

I'll be completely honest, I just really don't like them or think they match the style of your dress at all. With the JA you have though, you might not see them as much. However, I'd go with something else just to be safe. You could always bring these and change into them at the reception if you need some dancing shoes!

I'm not a huge fan of the shoes themselves, but you're really not likely to see them at all, unless you're doing the garter removal thing. I tend to think everything marketed as a "bridal" shoe is hideous though. Just go with something you'll wear again that's comfortable. A simple flat is fine. I like the silver sandals atlast posted too. If you're having trouble finding something in white or a neutral, you could always wear blue or your bridesmaid color to open up your options.

I agree with most of the other posts, I'm not a fan of that shoe. I think your dress is beautiful and that shoe doesn't really go with it. I would look for something else that is low/no heel and comfortable. But, you probably won't see it with your dress, so it's up to you.

I don't think they will look good with your gown. This is more of a shorts and summer dress kinda shoe. How about chunky heeled dress shoes. I've seen very pretty ones that may look nice with your gown. If you go that route though I'd avoid white and go with nude, pink or multicolor with a dainty toe box so it doesnt look so heavy
