Wedding Party

Flower girls bach party

I want to do a separate bachelorette party with my 5 flower girls aside from my maids. I want to do something fun and kid like with them. Any suggestions other than a spa party?

Thanks!

    You have 5 flower girls?

OK shock over. Take them to chucked cheese, take them to a paint your own pottery studio, take them to a water park, take them out to lunch, take them to the park, take them bowling, take them to a movie, etc...

  • American Girls Doll Stores have tea parties. Children's museums, ice cream parlors, children's theatre productions.....so much fun to be had!
  • OH!!! I love the American Girls Party idea!!!!  One additional thought is to call your florist and see if they would do a mini-flower arranging class for the girls.  Our local florists actually do that type of event for girls' birthday parties and it is so much fun.  They get a great takeaway that is wedding related.

Most of my friends are pregnant (for reals, ya'll) and my FI has a daughter along with her cousins that are our flower girls.

My MOH/sister is planning my bach party to be something that can work for all. Sounds like we might be doing dinner and then going to one of those places like Canvas and Cocktails where everyone can choose their drink - soda, wine, beer, whatever. Then the littles will go home and anyone else that feels so inclined can go out after.

I think it can be done - it just needs to be framed/planned right, that's all.

  • Depending on their ages will affect what you can or can't do with them. A place like Chuck E. Cheese is good, but you will need extra help to keep an eye on all 5 girls. You can do a picnic or a tea party or potter painting. I agree, drop the term Bachlorette party and maybe change it to flower girls day out. Heck if you think you can handle them all & have the space, invite them over for movie & a sleep over, giving their parents a night off.
  • I don't know if they exist in the States, but I loved Build-A-Bear as a kid and they totally have little bears in wedding dresses.

Yes we have those.  In fact I gave my flower girls bride bears as their gifts.

  • You could see if there was a Sweet & Sassy Spa near you. It is a spa for little girls and they do parties.

  • It's not a bach party, it's more like the Bridesmaid Tea party (one is thrown for you, the other you throw for others). Honestly this depends on the personalities of the kids involved. Take them to Chuckee Cheese, call it a day.

  • Do you have a local arts & crafts/painting type store? In my area, there are a lot of stores like "A Time to Kiln" where kids can pick out a piece of pottery, paint them, then the store fires them and they get a neat piece of pottery to take home that they've painted. I'm almost 30 and I'd have fun doing that myself :)

I think this is a really sweet and cute idea, but from an etiquette standpoint how does OP handle the parents? Does she invite and host them as well?
