No.  They look horrible on most women as it is a thin, clingy fabric and does not allow for most undergarments.  Also, a lot of the time I am afraid that a boob or two is going to pop out if one moves a certain way or while dancing.
If you want that sort of look, then give your BMs a designer (in their budget), colour, fabric, and length and let them each pick out their own style of dresses.

  • I was originally going to go with infinity dresses for my BMs because we found a very good reputable seller on Etsy - rave reviews. The problem I experience, and thus why I did not go with infinity dresses was due to two factors....

I wanted a swatch of the fabric to make sure the color and weight of the fabric was right. Unfortunately, the only way to do this was to order a sample dress (which was extra $$)

The second reason we didn't go that route was because the seller could only guarantee the dress down to size 2 and of course one of my BMs is really tiny, so I was worried there was a chance she would be swimming in the dress.

In the end, I really wish it would have worked out because it would have allowed each of my girls to wear whatever style they like best and I knew that they would be able to wear it again. It was also less expensive then the dress we wound up going with.

I'd say do some serious research - if you can make it work, go for it! I'm all about it :)

PS: I wouldn't be worried about a nip slip unless someone is choosing a wrap that might warrant it. There are so so so many ways to wrap an infinity dress.

  • No, they do not work.

Have you ever seen those buzzfeeds with "pinterest fails"? Same thing. It looks awesome online and then you get it and there's just no way to make it look good. Just say no.

  • Even assuming you manage to get one tied, they don't really stay put at all. And they're damn near impossible to wear a bra with. My vote is nay.

  • Nay. I've heard nothing good about them.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

    To the bolded: FALSE.

They look horrible on every body type. I've seen them worn in person by women size 4, 6, 10, and 12 and they looked terrible on every single one of them.

  • Please help.  They LOOK great on supermodels who have been Photoshopped, pinned and taped within an inch of their lives, but do they actually work?
    FTFY.

I have one of these from VS (they discontinued them, which says a lot), you can see EVERY line through it and it's really hard to tie in a way that stays put. Awful.

  • One of my BM wore an infinity dress to my bridal shower. She's about a size 7 or 9 and has a big chest. Not only did she look great in the dress, her boobs didn't pop out once.

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of her in the dress, otherwise I would share. I would still advise you to do some research, read reviews, and base your decision on that, not buzzfeed (not really a very good reputable source of information).

  • If I look up pictures of infinity dresses all I see are saggy boobs. Saggy boobs everywhere!

Why not pick a dress line and a fabric and let the bridesmaids pick any cut of dress they want in that line, and order it in the fabric and length you chose?
  • Definitely nay!

  • I would say Nay unless everyone you plan on putting in one has a chance to try one on first and give an opinion, and this is from someone who owns infinity dresses that I think (and others have said) look good on me.

The ones I like came from American Apparel 5 or so years ago.  No other infinity dress has every looked good on me.  I think the fabric is really key to whether they work.

And despite being "infinity" dresses, there are only two ways that I can actually wear mine because none of the other ways work or look ok.
