Questions about Allure Bridals Trunk Shows

Hello ladies! I am looking forward to attending an Allure Bridals Trunk Show next month. I wanted to hear from some of you who have been to one before. I have never been to a trunk show, period, so I am really curious to find out what they are like. Additionally, I was wondering what type of discount you were offered if you purchased that day. I have my eye on a really beautiful gown that I know they will be bringing, but I need to know if it will be anywhere near my budget before I get my hopes up. Thank you! :)

Okay so I went to the Allure Bridal Trunk Show in Orlando about 6 weeks ago, maybe 2 months ago. It was stupid. LOL. Not sure if they are all stupid or what. I called and made an appointment at the store they were holding it in about 2 weeks ahead of time because the website made it sound like I HAD to.

When we got there I expected there to be a special area of the shop set up just for Allure. In my mind they would have mannequins set up with a few of teh dresses and the brand ambassador there to talk to you about the gowns. Yeah NOT how it went down.

Basically I walked in, the consultant for the shop came and introduced herself. I said I was there for the Allure Trunk Show. She said wonderful, then she asked what type of dress I was looking for and my appointment went on as if I wasn't there for the trunk show at all. She just pulled dresses from all brands. I asked if there was a certain place for Allure and she said there was one small rack with a few and pointed me over there. There were two I wanted to try but they were both a size 2. I flipped (not really but I questioned her) on why they would bring size 2's to a trunk show. At that point a woman walked up and introduced herself. She was the Allure consultant. She explained that they had many gowns interspersed throughout the store but only a few they actually brought in for the actual show itself and that unfortunatley yes, they were not great sizes. She then said I could have 10% off on any dress I purchase but I would have to pay in full that day. Once the shop consultant started bringing me gowns there were quite a few from Allure but it just wasn't set up the way I thought it would be.

NOW on the total flip side of this, my best friend went to the show in Virginia and had a lovely experience and she purchased her gown then and there. So I hope you have her experience. And again, 10% off as long as you pay in full.
