Flower Beards

Apparently it's the new thing.  http://www.buzzfeed.com/rachelzarrell/flowers-in-your-beard-hair
I kind of find them weirdly hot.  Thoughts?

Re: Flower Beards

  • Sorry I find them dumb.

  • I think they're funny but right up there with mason jars and burlap...not a trend that will stand the test of time

  • I think the photos are cute and funny but it's not hot and probably not a trend we will see dudes actually sporting on the street.

However, http://willitbeard.tumblr.com is funny as hell.

"I'm not a rude bitch.  I'm ten rude bitches in a large coat."

  • I think most of these pics are just styled art photography, which I don't mind.

A few fellows in there look like they're actually trying to wear the look.

Hmmm. Can't quite find the right words for it. Like hipster kids dressed up playing hippie, but not really understanding that being a hippie is not about affectation. There! That's the word. It strikes me as very affected, which to me is the opposite of attractive.

    It's all very beardy.
  • DH has been nice enough to grow a beard for me on this trip. He can't have them at work, so I've never seen him with one. I showed him this a few days ago and told him I'd weave the flowers of his choosing into his when it was long enough. I think he thought I was crazy

  • No..just..no

  • This sounds like something I would do to FI in his sleep as a joke.

  • I don't like beards anyway.  Facial hair rubbing on my face or anywhere else doesn't work for me.  Nevertheless, I think a flower beard will definitely make it's way onto an Old Spice commercial or something like that soon...but to make people laugh, not to take seriously.

I'm not really sure why, but this made me laugh way harder than it should have.

I could totally see a guy wearing flowers in his beard, if his name was something like "Tree Dog" and his future's wife name was "Dandelion" and they were committed to each other in a hand-fasting ceremony by a witch named "Moon Goddess". I'm not making this up. I saw it on an episode of Extreme Cougar Wives.

I did the same thing before reading the comments! I suggested FI wear them to match the bouquets!

  • Not even a little attractive to me. First, I don't like facial hair anyway. Second... Well it is just the biggest turn off I've seen in a while.
  • Not a fan.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • New way to decorate DF when he naps! Nail polish doesn't work as well. Either he wears it or he knows how to take sickeningly girly pink glitter off. I could so braid leftover flowers from my brooch bouquet into his beard. Hehehe.

He has a beard similar to Marco Hietala, I like it. Now to get him to grow his hair out...
