Interview tomorrow!

I have my first interview as an adult tomorrow! I have worked in a grocery store for over eight years and worked my way up to service desk. It is the only interview I have ever been to, and because I was under 18, my mom had to come with me. Tomorrow I have my first interview on my own as an adult at a bank for a teller job. I am so excited and nervous for this opportunity!

  • Yay! Good luck. I'm sure you have learned a lot and your experience will transfer quite well to at teller role!
  • Fabulous! Make sure to give us an update.
  • Good luck! And don't forget to smile! Not like a lunatic or anything, just a normal "I'm a nice person, you can totally trust me with your money" smile. :)

  • So I had my interview, and I feel as though it went pretty well. I am not waiting on my second interview call or my "rejection" e-mail. However, I am not sure I want it anymore. The branch for the town I wanted, which is my town was filled so now I would have a longer drive. I also learned that while they offer dental and vision insurance to part timers, they do not offer medical. I currently have all of those.

I knew that when I applied I would be taking a slight wage decrease and lose my time and a half Sunday benefit, and I was originally okay with this for a better job. I would obviously also lose my three weeks paid vacation.

Why is it so hard to give up a job, I have been ready to move on from for years? I think that if the branch in my town was still open, I would be ready to jump on it. It would only be 5 min away which is the distance of my current job so my gas cost would be the same.

    I feel bad that I am almost hoping on a rejection e-mail. . .
