MOH forgot to add RSVP by Date Question?

Alright, my maid of honor forgot to add an RSVP by date on my bridal shower invitation.  This is the week of my shower with a fair amount still with no responses would you have her text to remaining non RSVPed people or not?

Not sure if this is the correct board to post here.  Just wondering if anyone had insight on this or had it happen to them?

Yes, she should start reaching out to people. If she needs a proper head count for food and such, it will make her job in the end a lot easier.

If I were hosting a shower, I would reach out to people who hadn't responded. If she doesn't care and plans to host everyone she invited, she doesn't need to follow up and she'll just have a ton of leftovers. This is kind of her thing..

If she does reach out, I wouldn't do it via text. Phone is more personal, but if that's not possible, I'd still reach out any way I could. But yeah, it's her party so her problem to fix.

Yes and she should do it asap. She should try calling them first, texting second. 

Only other option is to plan for all of them to attend.

When I was co-hosting my sister's wedding shower, we didn't even think of putting an RSVP by date on the invites. We didn't need an exact count because it was being hosted in my aunt's home. We contacted those on our side of the family we hadn't heard from yet and then just anticipated everyone left that hadn't responded was a yes. We probably ended up with extra favors/food since all of those people didn't come, but better safe than sorry.

So your MOH should either contact those who haven't RSVPed or plan on them all coming and be OK with lots of leftovers.

Thank everyone for the input, I really appreciate it.  Sometimes I just have to keep myself in check, I don't want to be a bossy a*hole bride.
