Just wanted to drop a note to say thank you--lurking over the past year and a half was SO helpful for my wedding. We're married!
We planned what we could afford and everyone had a great time. My husband and I planned most of the wedding together, but my mom was so proud when her friends texted and called her to tell her what a great time they had and how gracious we were. My aunt and SIL said they got our thank you notes before they even got home from their trips and said it was the fastest thank you note they've ever received. I pre-addressed them before the wedding and got them out within a few days.
People were really happy that we blocked rooms (many hotels ended up selling out for the weekend and it didn't cost us anything to do it), had enough chairs at cocktail hour, reception, and ceremony, and that we really seemed to take their comfort into consideration. We were able to invite everyone with a date, and even though a lot of people didn't bring one, they were happy that we did that for them. So, I have to say thank you! I didn't/don't post very often, but I read a lot of different threads and it was so helpful to read about different situations and how people feel when they go to a wedding. I have four weddings next year for family and very close friends, and I'll be sending them here when they have questions. Thanks again!
