I'm not even near my period and I usually don't spot. This week I bought the prettiest, sexiest lingerie I have owned so far in my life, and randomly spotted. I wore pads and ugly period underwear for a few days and there wasn't a hint of spotting. I put on another pair of pretty panties-spotted again. I just want to feel pretty and flounce around my house in my skivvies. It's bad enough I have to spend a week every month in nasty granny panties.

Good thing I'm good at getting blood stains out.

    I swear this happens to me too!!! I take the 3 month pill (has been 7 years now, body should be used to it) and randomly at month 2 I'll get spotting. On pretty undie day. Grrrrrrrrrrr!

    It's like wearing your pajamas to drive somewhere really fast, like a drive through or the post office drop. That almost guarantees your car will break down. Same phenomena, exactly.

    That is the WORST.

    Have you seen Dear Kates underwear?  They are spot-proof, I swear.  I have a bunch of pairs and they are so pretty, absolutely worth the money if you can find a coupon or get them on sale.

    I have this set, and a bunch of the "sport hipsters," and they are fab.

    I take the 3 month pill too, and skipped the last two periods. Not on purpose, I took the inactive pills but never started.  Then, in the middle of the pack, I have a full blown period. Surprise period. Cramps and all. No chance I was pregnant.  Hello, perimenopause!  Now I have liners, big liners, tampons (regular, super, and light), and an extra pair of undies in the side zipper pocket of my purse. We wear pale blue scrubs at work and I'm not taking a chance again!

    Yeah, this always seems to happen, and always sucks.  It was so much worse for me before my dr changed my bc prescription.  I had crazy breakthrough bleeding.
