I made sea salted caramels for our wedding favors and they turned out GREAT. I personally HATE salt, but the flavors went together really well, and it brought out the richness of the caramels. My bridesmaids helped me box them up, and I am forever grateful. I know some people might not like them, but I am hoping most do. Here is the recipe:
Be sure to read the reviews as some minor alterations have to be made so the recipe turns out perfectly. It mostly depends on your stove, altitude, and keeping a watchful eye, as sugar can burn in a matter of a seconds. Also, I yielded a lot more because I doubled the recipe and when rolling out the caramel, I stretched the caramel so I would have smaller but twice as many caramels.
