Garter Help

Good morning ladies,

I am having some trouble finding a garter that doesn't cut the circulation off of my entire leg. I am relatively average size and can't seem to find anything which is making me so angry. The ones that I have found at ACMoore and Michaels are just way too tight. I looked on Etsy and can not justify buying a garter for over $15. Does anyone have an idea of where I can find one that will fit my thunder thigh? I measured where it would go with a tape measure at it is 20".

Also for you married girls, did you wear your garter all day?

I bought my garter off of Etsy. It was customized to be in the colours of DH favourite sport's team with the team's logo. The shop I purchased it from let me measure my own leg and submit the size I needed, so it fit well and was not uncomfortable. I did wear it all day.

There are some shops on Etsy that sell garters in your price range that let you submit your leg measurement, so it should fit comfortably:

I tried wearing a garter I got of Etsy all day, but my measurements were off and it slid down my leg right before dinner.

Ah well. I have a cute picture of H wearing it around his head. And then it went into my purse never to see the light of day again.

I bought mine on Etsy for $20 including shipping since I only bought one since I didn't do a toss. I just wanted to wear one for the hell of it and H was excited about it. I think it's definitely worth the $5 to have it be comfortable for you.

I'm not sure if they make any type of bridal garters, but when I was in high school I bought my homecoming/prom garters off of PromGarter.com and never had a problem with them being too tight, and my thighs are not teeny tiny by any means. Might be worth checking out?

I agree with a lot of these girls, check out etsy! You can contact the shop owners and provide them with your measurements to make sure it fits perfectly! If you're worried about that, look at places in a local mall or boutique that will let you try them on! Remember, you can always make your own with supplies from Hobby Lobby or Michaels!

Can't help you on where to buy one; my mom made mine. I THINK she got the tutorial off Craftsy or something. She said it was CRAZY easy to do, and it was something easily customizable to both fit my legs as well as fit my style.

That said, I just slipped it on when we got to the reception site, no biggie.

Try making your own, it's really not that difficult. Head to AC, HL, or Michael's with your 40% off coupon. It boggles my mind that a lot of garters are one size fits all.
