Don't watch Final Destination 5 before getting it.

  • My mom got Lasik in 2000, and could drive the next day. She probably needs to get an adjustment at some point soon as she now has night-driving glasses. Her eyesight was atrocious before the procedure, but immediately after she had 20/20 vision.

I got it in 2011, and had 20/15 eyesight right after. It was an incredibly fast procedure. I will say though, I basically had a panic attack on the table and REALLY wish the place would've given me a valium or something before the procedure as I was flipping the fuck out. I had halos and light sensitivity for about 2 months after, but my eyesight is fucking awesome now and I'd go get it again in a heartbeat if it meant I'd have perfect eyesight. I think my contacts were 1.25/.75 (if I remember right)

  • So my mom and dad had and have terrible eyes. So my brother and I (and our parents) have been going to the same eye doctor since I was 5 years old. Fortunately my brother and I have avoided any eye issues. My mother got lasik, by a professional recommended by our eye doctor. She swears by it. Loved it. Dad isn't eligible.

  • My mom had it.  She wishes she had done it long ago. She loves it. She keeps telling me I need to get it.  Maybe I will someday, but too spendy right now.
  • It pisses me off that most insurance companies apparently don't really offer major coverage of it. The insurance I was on when I got it covered over 80%, and then I ended up getting a 6% discount in addition to that from the doctor's office because of having that kind of insurance.

It was weird but I wasn't hating because it ended up being pretty inexpensive.
