Bridesmaid dress frustration

Anyone have any experiences with having one of your bridesmaids put up a fight about their dress, or about you being a bridesmaid with a less-than-awesome dress?

There's nothing wrong with her rewearing a dress she already owns if you are giving all your BMs the option. However, I agree I'd be annoyed if I told everyone robin's egg blue and hers is sapphire. Send out photos or even a paint chip of the color you are looking for. Hopefully that will bring her around. If not, then I don't think you are out of line by saying you'd like something lighter/darker/whatever and in line with the color you gave everyone else.

You are supposed to pick out the color of the stress and have it approved.  You told her that they could re-wear a dress from another wedding IF the color matched.  The color doesn't match so she can't wear the dress and will need to buy a new one.  Honestly I think you should have picked a cheap dress that they all could afford and told them to buy it.  You wouldn't have to waste your time or energy on her misunderstanding.  It is extremely unusal to re-wear a bridesmaid dress to another wedding as a bridesmaid.

2) If it's not too late to change course with YOUR BMs, find a designer, a fabric and a color and tell them to get whatever they want. A cheap option is Target (yes they have BM dresses). Here are four dresses under $100 in a color (blue ocean) close to robin's egg blue:

Also, the color "pool" from David's Bridal is close. Just tell them "anything in 'pool' from DB that's chiffon and knee length"
