Wedding Woes

Random(s)---

When replying to Heffa's post I remembered a funny:

I was in a meeting with Big Boss and he was talking about some specifics in planning out a large job and said something to the effect of:

"It was a huge fiaskal".

I'm pretty sure he meant "FIASCO" but I was proud that I didn't smirk and snicker like I wanted to. I'm mature like that.

Add your own, because I'm lazy and don't want to work

    Oh I REMEMBERED:

So in all of the rushing around yesterday, I moved our yard waste container to the front of the yard for pickup from the back yard.  No biggie?

Until I let the dogs out and remembered 5 minutes later that I had left the gate open to move that container.  I literally started running around my house...looking for my shock collar remote and then ran to the front, shaking and almost crying.

    Where were my dogs?

Hanging out in the front yard, like "hey, nice view".  One dog was at the front door, and the other was just in the front yard of the neighbor's house.

I live on a busy street, and 1 block from a 4 lane divided interstate.  That could've gone sosososososooSOOOOO badly.  And so I praised them, asked them to come in and well---they did.  So treats they got, and love and hugs...and holy shit---I won't be telling H.  Nope.
  • Speaking of 'fiaskals' (and me being nosy, so you can tell me to eff off)...Did you resolve the issue with him rolling in at 3am or what have you?  Did he at least make a better apology?

Oh he did.  He even outted himself later to co-workers stating, "You know what you DON'T do, you DON'T come home at 5 am after not telling your wife".  He got the "oh no...you didn't??? *head shake*" from his coworkers while I looked on and *tsktsk*ed
  • Good.

    Ha at the self-shaming.  :)

    good on the recognizing stupidity.

The Mr. and FIL were working on wiring in our house yesterday (also the Mr. sprained his ankle badly).  at 5;00, I got a phone call from the Mr. saying the good cat (El Gato the Splendiferious) was missing.  They had looked everywhere in the house and were thinking she could have snuck out the back door while they were working on things.
They were scouring the neighborhood and looking everywhere.

    Guess where the asshat was?
She got into my closet, climbed behind the clothes and onto the little 'dresser' thing that was in there, and burrowed into the clothes on top of it (which were going into the goodwill bag).

    So she's fine.
The Dog is finally eating well, post vacation, we're still in the incubation period waiting to see if she has kennel cough--since it's a vaccine resistant strain, her grooming for today was cancelled--she's going to be a hairy beasty by the time we get her in.
