Bridesmaid Dresses online

Hi :)

I need some input. Has anyone had a successful time ordering bridesmaids dresses online?

I found a Bill Levkoff dress that I love- it's about $240 in stores and maybe $160 on bridesmaids.com. Is it too risky? Please let me know if you've used any credible sites. I can't decide what to do!

Stressed,

Ashley

  • Try telephoning Pearl's Place in Louisiana and asking their price.

  • I would be concerned about ordering a bill levkoff gown specifically online because I've read more than once that their sizing is really strange and I think they run really small! Can't offer advice on shops though because I'm going really non traditional for my maids. Their all ordering online but it'll be skirts and the stores that carry them run the gamut.

  • Hi. I'd just urge you to be really careful with buying dresses online. Unless you're going through a reputable boutique you run the risk of ending up stuck with a bunch of poorly made rip offs. This website actually has some really great advice on this topic somewhere. I'd really recommend taking your ladies to a boutique if you have the time, even if you do plan on buying the dresses elsewhere. At least they can try the dress on, and have their measurements professionally taken to determine what sizes they are. Good luck with your search!

  • I would definately have your BM's go to a boutique to try the Bill Letkof dresses on. Then if you like them order them online!

I had my MOH come with me to look at BM dresses and try on the we liked. It turned out the ones we had liked were awful!

  • I recently ordered a bridesmaid dress from House of Brides online and it was one of the WORST expierences I have ever had.  My dress was confirmed for the beginning of June and I just recieved it yesterday.  I had to call them every week to find out where the dress was and there did not seem to be any sense of urgency at all.  I have tried to speak with the manager 15 times and have left 5 messages and my calls have not been returned.  To make matters even worse the dress was shipped horribly- literally just thrown in a box with no packing slip and whoever inspected must have been eating becasue there was chocolate on it.  I would definitely avoid ordering from House of Brides if you are thinking of ordering your dress online.
