Bridesmaid attire

I have 3 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen. I'm thinking of having the bridesmaids wear black dresses and each have a different color bouquet and have shoes to match the bouquet. Opinions? Will it look weird since I don't have more than 3 bridesmaids? Should the groomsmen have boutineers and ties that match the girls colors or should they also have different colors? Thanks!

I think it would look fine with just three.  Perhaps you could keep the the same bouquets, though, as just a mix of all the colours?  Example:

As for the groomsmen, the don't have to have different coloured items like the girls are.  but if you wanted them to, perhaps they could have different cuff links:

I think it's a great idea; particularly with black. As for whether the boys' boutonnières match the bridesmaids bouquets, I think it would look great either way. It depends on how much color you want to get involved. It might also be worthwhile looking in to what flowers are going to be in season on your big day. That might give you a better idea of exactly what you want.

I actually like the idea of the different color shoes (particularly when they are vibrant colors). However, of the possibilities, I think I like the different color shoes with matching bouquets that tie in all of the girls' colors. My second choice would be the matching shoes with different colored bouquets as opposed to having both different shoes and different bouquets.
