DJ recomendations?

What has been your experience with choosing a DJ?

Currently looking at the following vendors for my Door County Wedding (Sturgeon Bay):

• Midwest Sound
• Sound Dimensions
• Elite Music Service
• Double Platinum
• Music Masters

Any opinions?

I didn't use any of these but I know thet each have a review on the WI knottie website. I would recommend checking there. The link to the site is in my siggy.

We're using Midwest Sound, which we found on the WI knottie page. Lots of good reviews! So far, when we've dealt with them, they've been professional and very helpful! I can't give you a review on their performance yet, since I'm not get married for 8 months yet, but in my experience so far, I've enjoyed them.

Elite music services have been amazing!!!  Scott (owner) and Don (our DJ) have been great to work with.  They're quick to answer questions (both calls and email) and have been in the business long enough to have great connections and reviews of other vendors.  They were able to hook us up with two other vendors and because we mentioned that we were referred, we got a great deal.   I'm planning from Texas so its super nice to know they're a group/vendor I can trust to get things done professionally!  They always wear tuxes to the reception so they look great too!   
Cant speak highly enough!!!

Double Platinum DJ is the only place you need to look.  The owner was our DJ and worked really well with us and our budget.  He kept our group on the floor all night and respected all of our requests while catering to our family and friend's wierd request.

Everyone had a blast and I can't imagine it going any better.  Plus they offer a lot of extra services that make them a one stop shop for a lot of your needs (lighting, photo montoge, etc).
