Must-Have Photos

I have a meeting with our photographer(s) at the end of the week, and they asked that I come up with a list of must-have photos. Now, I am not a fan of the generic jumping or posed photos and love the general style of their photography (kind of an artistic photo journalistic approach), which is the most important element, to me. For those of you that have already gone through the whole process, what were some of the photos you have absolutely loved that were on your must-have shot list? Anything you've absolutely hated? Thanks in advanced!

We chose our photographer for her expertise, so we trusted her to capture great images of our day. I'm not keen on staged shots or trying to recreate a particular Pinterest photo. I had a very limited list of must-have photos, most of which related to our Quaker ceremony (we requested a photo of every guest who stood to speak, for example). Other than that, we specified the family shots we wanted and that's pretty much it.

This (minus the Quaker ceremony part).

The only things I put on the must have list is family posed group photos I wanted to be sure were taken - mainly so we could make sure all the people were here and we didn't forget one with grandma etc. Otherwise I let my photog do his thing and capture the locations and emotions that he saw that day. I did have a must have photo with cotton candy (we did a first look at a festival) and it looks ridiculous, nothing like what I saw on pintrest...so glad I didn't bog him down with more crap I found on that website. :-p

For our must have shots we had a list of group must have shots like *All nieces & nephews together (so my parents could have a grandkids photo) *All siblings together *My immediate family group photo *His immediate family group photo *Him w/each GM *Me w/each BM *Me w/my mom & then my dad *Him w/his dad & then his mom *Each bridal party member w/their siginifant other & kids (I did family shots & gave those to each bridal party member as a gift afterwards. I figured how often do they get together, all dressed up & have a chance for a formal photo) etc. Of course you want the fun artistic shots. But when I think of must have shots, I think of what groupings of people do I have to have photos with.
