bridal shower locations in/near Madison

Hi ladies!

I grew up in Madison but now living in Chicago. My mom would like to host a shower for me in Wisconsin for her side of the family but doesn't have ideas outside of possibly using a park shelter such as the one at Warner Park. She asked me for suggestions, but I honestly have no ideas. It's been awhile since I've lived there, and don't really have ideas for a place since I never went to a shower while living there.

The shower would be for about 15 people, so it doesn't need to be huge. It would be in late September/early October, so it could be outdoor, but would prefer an indoor location just in case of bad weather. She's looking to host in Madison (where she lives), Sun Prairie, or Columbus. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Thank you!

I really like the idea of having it at a park with a shelter in case of bad weather. During the fall the weather will be perfect! There are lots of parks in the Madison area.

Another idea would be to have it at a family member or friend's home.

You could also have it at a restaurant in a private room. Some good places in Madison are: The Great Dane, Porta Bella, The Melting Pot, Essen Haus, Liliana's, Quivey's Grove, The Old Fashioned, Biaggi's, and Brocach.

Another option is the Henry Vilas Zoo - http://www.vilaszoo.org/rental/index.php?category_id=4801 You can rent their tent or the visitor center which has an outdoor patio and an indoor building.

You could also use the Olbrich Botanical Gardens - http://www.olbrich.org/rentals/photosofspaces.cfm

What about a country club or golf course? I know the following rent rooms:
Maple Bluff Country Club - http://www.maplebluffcc.com/
    Nakoma Golf Club - http://www.nakoma.org/specialeventsrooms.html
    Blackhawk Country Club - http://blackhawkcc.com/Mendota_Room-81.html

    Good luck with your search!

I think PP hit it right on the botton. I am having my Shower at FMIL's house so I am not much help. My SIL had her's at a restaurant and it was good. She didn't do a private room, just the back of the restaurant.

I caught your post and I just thought of Villa Dolce Cafe in Middleton, WI.  They have 2 dining rooms and you can use the entire back room for a party if you like.  They have fantastic drinks (Gelatinis which are martinis with their homemade gelato), a good wine selection, and their food is awesome (Pizzas, pasta, great salads and apps). It is reasonably priced and Middleton is a cute town.  The owners are really friendly and willing to work with you. Its worth checking out!
