@Swazzle - I feel like FI needs to be supervised while grocery shopping...I ask him to pick up salad and he also comes back with ice cream and snacks and red bull. And you can absolutely freeze bread. I do that a lot in the summer so the humidity doesn't spoil it. And I want some of that brownie brittle. Damn.

@bddysmom80 - I'm sorry you and your FI aren't seeing eye to eye on some stuff. If he's open to pre-marital counseling that might be a great idea; FI and I are looking for something at the moment just to make sure that we've thought about/talked about all of the major stuff.

@caseface5 - DISNEY! I'm jealous, FILs decided that $16,000 was too much to spend for the whole family to go to Disney for a week...I don't see why...

@loves2shop4shoes and everyone else - I have those same thoughts and they make my heart race. I cannot imagine what I would do if FI died. He had a bunch of surgeries a few years ago, he has Crohn's, and he's been having the ear ringing/headache crap for the last few days and all I can think is "Don't you dare die". Damn man making me love him.

On the SO dying note. . . I get super nervous whenever I see him starting his second energy drink of the day. I'm like, "Don't you know your heart is going to explode?!?!?!?" Plus he still smokes. . . I get real nervous.

I'm sorry everyone is having a bad day! You guys are awesome and I'm sure it will all turn around. My wednesday isn't really anything special. No one was going to be at work so I decided that I wasn't going to go in. I've lost 7 pounds and I feel very proud of myself. I don't think I have any plans for today. I have to pack soon though because V and I are going to Georgia on sunday. I'm so excited/nervous to meet his friends and family!

@Imcooper86 - $16000 for a family at Disney World?!  That's like my WHOLE Disney World wedding + week stay at Disney - maybe even a little more (I'd have to look at my adjusted budget again).

That trip to Disney is what my trip to Europe cost for my mom and I!!!! Holy shit. If we have kids, I don't want them knowing ANYTHING about Disney.

Oh HEEEY!!! Today may not be the greatest overall, but I just figured out that I've been here 3 years and my annual leave accrual just went up to 6 hours every two weeks! That's 19.5 days a year bitchaaaaas!

Pretty happy about that. BF is gonna be pissed with jealousy, haha.

@buddysmom80 - I'm sorry you and your SO are going through a rough spot, that is always so hard because it just adds an extra layer of stress to everything. But I think it's good you are talking about these things now and making sure you're on the same page or figuring out how you can get on the same page. It will ultimately just make your relationship stronger.

@Blackbird230 - I hope your FI gets the job! Something is better than nothing and it doesn't have to be forever.

My day has been meh so far. I weighed myself this morning and somehow gained 3 lbs overnight? I know it's probably just water weight or something weird but I still cried. I'm just really frustrated with trying to lose weight and had been doing so well and feel like this is a set back.

I'm incredibly stressed about my interview tomorrow. I would love to get this job but I don't feel confident.

On happier news though, BF is starting an internship at a lab next week! This should be the foot in the door that he needs to get a paying position eventually and be able to apply to grad. school. I'm really excited for him because this past year has been really tough on him but things are finally starting to go right.

@buddysmom80 I think "going to Disney" is a totally different beast than "going to Orlando" - we never "went to Disney" as a family (and it should be noted that as a kid I lived in Jersey, not Florida, so the sentiment is still like Orlando was far away).  We went to Orlando, with a few days in Disney and other days outside Disney.  And because there were a million of us, we also spent a day or two just at the hotel pool chilling out   But yea, I hope to avoid 16k for a family vacation for most of my lifetime, haha.

@Dignity100 and @buddysmom80 - I should clarify...that was JUST for hotel rooms for a week. My first thought was "what the hell sort of hotels were they looking at?!" Absolutely insane. I think it was probably because there would be 7 or 8 adults going, so they were probably looking at 4 rooms. But yeah, that was just rooms, no park tickets or dinning or airfare or anything else. CRAZY.

So instead they are renting a house in Florida for the whole month of November, for less money lol. Sooooo I'll be Delray Beach for a week in November...just saying...

@lmcooper86 holy bejesus those were crazy hotel rates!!  Also Delray is apparently 2 hours away from me!  Which means it's like 2.5 hours from @ollie08 and maybe like...2-3 hours from @irishdreamer (I'm not good at across state time estimates, haha)

@Imcooper86 that still seems insane! I'm waiting to hear back from AAA to see what kind of discount I can get. We're looking at about $3500 for everything! (flights, hotel for 10 days, park tickets with hoppers, dining, etc) That's for two adults.

Thanks to all who were concerned about FI and sending well wishes and vibes. I FINALLY talked FI into going to the ER tonight. He agreed that he would after our premarital counseling session this evening. I really hope it's nothing major, maybe something can be treated with antibiotics.

Anyway, please keep my FI in your thoughts and send positive vibes/prayers/crossed fingers- whatever you believe in, his way. I want him to be healthy and have a safe and fun trip to Canada

@severmilli12 I mean, last time I went to urgent care, they sent me to the ER, but is urgent care really not an option tonight?  It seems weird to go to the ER for something that you're ignoring for the whole day until then.  But I would definitely go to a doctor before heading to Canada (cause I kinda assume your health insurance won't be useful in Canada at all, though I haven't tried that) so if the ER is the only option, I'd do that.  Good luck to him and lots of vibes that way too!!

We checked out urgent care and our insurance doesn't cover it so we would have to pay upfront, which we don't have right now.  At least we can make monthly payments on an ER bill.

@CocoBellaF - Underneath it all, yes I am. But at my company, we hate that we're considered government because we pay ourselves. Are you fed? Or were you fed, I should say?

@severmilli12 If it turns out to be gallbladder, and not appendicitis, it may not be terrible enough for him to need it out now, and they can tell him how to avoid flare ups, and what not instead. I have gallbladder problems but no insurance, so my doctor was able to tell me how to manage/avoid symptoms until I have the ability to cover having it taken out and getting additional tests done. My aunt went ten years between gallbladder attacks, so if it is gallbladder, it may not be as terrible.

@EisleyGoJo - I'm currently a 5 year fed, moving to a contractor because the feds underpay me like whoa.  I might transition back eventually.

@bookishgiraffes the more I read about abdominal pain, the more I think its gallbladder/gallstone issues because he isn't vomiting and he doesn't have a fever.

@severmilli12 ah, understandable.  In that case, the ER is probably your best bet.  The crazy ER I went to tried to charge me for my deductible twice, l wasn't even stable yet! Good luck!

@servermilli12 - Does your FI have any back pain? Because that is a really common way a gallbaldder pain to mainifest. My gallbladder attacks were actually origincally misdiagnoised as muscle spasms. When I finally was correctly diagnoised and had to have my gallbladder removed I was actually admited to the hospital from the ER for surgery.
