@monkeygirl18 - We are going to Sandals in November, and we are reserving Club Mobay  for the departure.  Based on your comments, I'm wondering if we should do the arrival service.  For the arrival, did you save much time by using their services?  We will be arriving around noon on a Sunday, so we assume it may be fairly crowded at the airport.  Thanks!

We arrived around 11:40am on a Sat. and it was not very crowded. I'd estimate we saved 10-20min. Although we didn't save much time, for our piece of mind it was still well worth the added cost.

There is a website you can check to see how many flights are coming in around the same time as yours www.flightstats.com only problem is, it only goes a few days out.

If it's within your budget and you want that added piece of mind, go for it. If it's not within your budget, don't stress about it. No pressure no problem mon!

  • Here is an excerpt from my travel review about our experience with Club Mobay arrival:

We got off the plane, walked down the ramp and were met by our Club Mobay rep. She looked over our customs form, made sure it was filled out correctly and escorted us to the fast track lane for customs. After customs she escorted us to baggage claim, and once we had our bags, she escorted us to the fast track lane for immigrations. Once through immigrations she escorted us to the Sandals Lounge where our bags were tagged and set aside for our transport to the resort. Our Club Mobay rep then handed us our departure info and we said good bye for now.

We were then able to either relax in the Sandals lounge or head outside. We chose to head outside and finally get our first taste of warmth in months. The whole process from landing until we were outside took about 20 min. I would definitely recommend Club Mobay services for arrival. For us, since we landed before the “rush hr.”, it didn't really save us much time (maybe 10 min.) but, when coming from being in the cold for 5 months any amount of time saved to get us outside to the warmth was well worth it.
  • monkeygirl18, have you been to either of the other 2 St. Lucia Sandals? I have been looking at the Grande St Lucian, but only because it looks the prettiest in pictures!
We just booked our honeymoon last week at Sandals Regency La Toc in St. Lucia!  I met with a bridal consultant who books Sandals vacations and she recommended La Toc.  She thinks that they have the best restaurants.  Plus when you stay at any of the Sandals resorts on St. Lucia, you can go to the others as well.  So our plan is to travel to the beach at Grande during the day and if we want to hit up the nightlife we will go there, but we liked the privacy of La Toc.

I also booked the zip line excursion immediately because we had already decided to do that and it fills up quickly.  We paid about $1600 for our airfare (together).  I wish we could've booked our flights sooner but being that FI is in the military and wasn't (still isn't) totally sure about leave we didn't book our flights until last week, which is about two months out from our vacation.  But all in all we are still under $4k for the resort + flights + zip line!
  • Thank you @monkeygirl18!  I appreciate your help!
  • For those that have been to Jamaica or specifically Grande Riviera in Ocho Rios what are some of the excursions that we should do?
