What are everyone's plans?

FI left for Canada last night around 7, so I'm home alone tonight.  I have to go to my new job site after work to get a TB test. Today is my last day at the prison! I start my new job on Monday!! I have some WR things to work on tonight so that should keep me occupied for a little bit. I might treat myself to froyo too

Saturday I am babysitting my 2 year old nephew from 10:30am-4pm...should be interesting.  If my mom feels well enough, we are going OOT to look for a MOB dress Theres one at TJ Maxx that she really loves, so we'll stop there first. If she doesn't feel well enough to go, then I'm staying at my sisters a little longer and she will do my wedding hair trials since she is my hairstylist

On Sunday I have nothing planned. My bff has asked me to come to my hometown and hang out for a little bit, so I may do that.

I am so glad this week is almost over! I've been covering for a coworker this week, so my workload has been ridiculous (and I'm very behind, because I am not 2 people) and then with FI's hospital visit on Wednesday I am just wiped. I've gone to bed early the last couple of nights and am still exhausted.

On the bright side, I have a long weekend! So my office is closing early today...which would normally be great, but I have so much to get done, hence the coming in almost an hour early.

Tonight FI and I are going to grab dinner with his parents and then I want to just take it easy and try to get to bed early. Tomorrow I have a bunch of stuff to do at home, cleaning and some WR stuff that I've neglected this week. Sunday we have church and then if FI is feeling okay we'll go up to the cottage for Sunday afternoon and Monday. Fingers crossed!

@severmilli12 did FI ever figure out what was going on with his stomach issues? That's exciting that you're starting your new job on Monday and I couldn't handle a 2 year old for that long.

I'm so glad it's Friday, this week has sucked. FI and I had a long talk last night about issues we're facing and we're working stuff out. I'm glad because I hated not talking to him, but I didn't want to start an argument. EAP gave me the name of a therapist who takes Saturday appointments. It's a bit of a drive, but it'll be worth it.

Today I officially switch to a new department and I have no idea who to report to. So if like shit hits the fan big-time there's no one I can let know. It's a little weird, no one knows what's going on. I'm just waiting for them to tell me when I have to move my office and then I won't be on here much anymore except for breaks and lunch the campus I'm moving to is a Catholic-based facility and their internet access is on lock-down, so it's going to suck.

After work, FI and I are going out to dinner. We haven't been out to a nice restaurant in a long time just because of the wedding, so we're settling for a nicer hibachi restaurant in the town I grew up in.

Tomorrow morning we go for our cake tasting. We'll go grocery shopping after that and if the weather is crappy I'll deep-clean the house. If it's nice out I'll use the pool.

Sunday we have no plans except for taking Quigley to the dog park.

@severmilli12 - I was wondering when you would start your new job!  Good luck on your first day!!  Definitely take and post pics of your hair trial if you do it!!!!!!  Do you know sort of what you want?  Up, down, etc?

I'm very much ready for the weekend.  Especially since next week I only have a two day work week and then I'm off from Wed-Wed, with absolutely nothing planned. 

It's quite upsetting that my almost 15 year old dog has to have another tooth (or more) pulled on Monday.  It's affecting her kidneys so I have to give her IV fluids for the whole weekend so that she's good enough to have the surgery on Monday.  This is the third time in the past year she has had to have teeth pulled.  Giving her IV fluids SUCKS.  I feel so bad poking her.  They make it look so easy at the vet's office.  She's just always had bad teeth, but I never knew it could affect the kidneys.

Otherwise, our weekend is a blank slate.  We have a groupon to a fabulous trendy BBQ place so I think I may suggest we use that today or tomorrow. 

I'm hoping to address the rest of our wedding invites so we can mail them next weekend.  FI initially claimed he would do his guests, but I know he's not going to so I'm just going to do them, as soon as he gets the addresses, that is.

@buddysmom80 They did a CT Scan and took blood and urine samples but everything came back normal.  Not even any inflammation of any organs so we have no idea what is wrong but he is still in a lot of pain.  They gave him pain medication and he has a follow-up appointment on Tuesday.  I'm still not convinced that its not his appendix though.  The doctor even told us that sometimes inflammation of the appendix doesnt always show up on CT scans which is why she wanted him to have a follow up -_- 

@Pepperally Thanks! I'm excited and nervous, and a little sad to be leaving my current job. I have an updo and half up/half down style that I'm wanting try.  I think I like the half down style the best though. Its a braided crown style. The other is a braided updo.

@buddysmom80 - I'm sorry you're going through a rough time.  I hope you are able to find a good counselor to help. 

What flavors do you think you're leaning toward with the cake tasting? 

 Sorry for your loss of daytime internetting.  I'm in a somewhat similar boat as we are moving our offices to a different building downtown next week while I'm off, and my new cube appears to be all out in the open so a million people will be walking by my desk seeing my computer screen...so while I still have the net, I will be hesitant to go on here much for fear people will notice how much I'm on the internet at work.  My only hope is that I can position my computer so people can't see it much as they walk by.  We do clinical work so technically we should be hiding our screens from view anyway.

I'm bad, I'm posting before reading!!

I got a standing desk at work ) .  So far I like it.  I stand for 30 minutes, sit for 30 minutes.  We'll see how it continues on. 

Tonight - I just need to clean up around the house and get ready for waking up way too early tomorrow.

Tomorrow - Leave my house around 5:45A.  Get to the high school where my bike ride starts around 6:15A - get my bike all situated and be on the road around 6:30-6:45A.  We will ride for 30 miles.  The event is to help with MS.  I'm really glad we changed from the original 75 we signed up for - next year I hope we will be in better shape.  Get home and relax until around 5:30ish (I hope) - go to Cleveland Gladiators playoff game.

H has to work tonight after school so I'll go straight home to let the pup outside and then I'll probably do Insanity. Tonight I have to get all my surprises ready for H's bday celebration on Sunday. I have to wrap all the gifts, write the clues, and then hide them. Hopefully Maddux won't ruin my wrapping skills.

Saturday H and I will probably go to CrossFit and afterwards I need to go grocery shopping for H's bday and his mom's bday that night. She wants a workout bench for her gift so H will go to Sports Authority probably to pick that out. I'm making her Peach Cobbler for dessert so hopefully that turns out good. We will spend the rest of the day at their house celebrating bdays and letting Maddux swim in their creek.

Sunday is H's bday surprise. His bday isn't until next Tuesday but I'm doing an all day celebration. It's going to start out with me waking up at 5am to take out the dog (he usually does this) and then I'm going to make him breakfast in bed. Then I have a bday gift for him for every hour of the day starting at 8am until 10pm of all his favorite things. I have clues for each gift that he will have to try to guess what they are based on the clue. The big surprise gift will be a Yetti Cooler that he has wanted for years now. That afternoon we will go play Frolf with a bunch of his boyfriends and probably bring Maddux. I'll cook dinner for him that night and make him his favorite dessert which is a Reese's Brownie Triffle. It's so sinful but so Yum!

Yay for Friday!!

FI and I are going out in the city tonight for the first time in a LONG time. I'm going home first to play with the pup for a bit and to get changed, and then I'll take the train down. We're supposed to be meeting up with 3 friends, but that's only going to happen if we're all in agreement about where to go. FI and I need to go someplace inexpensive, and if our friends are in the mood to go someplace fancier we're just going to do our own thing to avoid spending too much.

Tomorrow will probably be a very lazy day, with a trip to the dog park thrown in. I need to pack for Chicago and locate my iPad for the plane. 

Sunday I'll spend as long as possible in bed snuggling with FI, and then he'll drive me to the airport in the afternoon. We've spent less than 10 nights apart throughout the past 3 years, so it makes me sad that I'll be gone for even just a few days. On the other hand, I'm a little excited to go on my first business trip and to get to meet everyone at my company's other, larger, office. Now, as long as I manage to not freak out about flying, everything should go smoothly!

Good morning, lovely ladies!!! Happy Friday!

I went to the orthopedic doctor last night and found out that I tore a ligament in my ankle which I've been walking on since I hurt it 2 months ago. I have to go for an MRI when I get back from my trip to see how bad it is and then we'll decide what to do from there. For the time being, I have a big, grey, disgusting boot on my foot. Definitely going to be an interesting week sightseeing. Luckily, I can still walk without the crutches the doctor gave me. 

After work I have a hair appointment. It is INSANE how often I have to get my hair cut now that it's short. Then I have to finish the laundry and pack for vacation!

We're leaving at 6am tomorrow. We're taking the more "scenic" route to Boston, along the coast then up through Providence. Our first stop will be the Sam Adams Brewery with @csousa1. I can't wait to smooch her face and drink all the beer with her! I'm not really sure what the rest of the day will include just yet. H wants to check out the Cheers bar so we'll go there at some point and I want to have dinner at The Daily Catch. 

On Sunday, hopefully we're going to walk along the Freedom Trail during the day and stop at some places throughout. We'll see how my foot's doing though. Sunday night we're going to the Yankees/Red Sox game. 

Since I won't be here all next week, here's a run down of my trip! 

Saturday/Sunday = Boston stuff

Monday = drive through Salem, stay in Portland

Tuesday = scenic drive to Bar Harbor

Wednesday =check out Acadia National Park,  drive up to Moosehead Lake, ME

Thursday = scenic drive to the Mount Washington area in NH

Friday = drive Mount Washington, stop at the Ben and Jerry's factory, go to a concert in Burlington, stay near Lake Placid

Saturday = check out the Olympic sites in Lake Placid and then head home in the afternoon 

I'M SO EXCITED.

@pepperally - I hope your pup is ok!!  Though right now, 30 miles sounds daunting for me, usually by now in the summer I'm riding 50-60 miles on either Sat/Sun morning every weekend.  This year I've been lazy.

@buddysmom80 - Glad you guys are starting to talk again.  That has to be rough.  Hopefully cake will help you guys reconnect a bit (Cake makes everything better too, just like ice cream).

@southernpeach89 - Have fun with the birthday surprise for your H!!

@Hummingbird125 - Hope you have a safe trip.

@Swazzle - Your poor ankle.  At least you're on the road to recovery now.  I'm so jealous of your vacation - have fun!!

@severmilli12 I can't believe they didn't find anything! Not to scare you guys, but it sounds like a gall bladder issue, even though I would think a CT scan would pick that up. They did an ultrasound with me to diagnosis it, but I'm assuming CT scans are a little more high-tech than an u/s. I love your updo inspiration pics!!!!

@pepperally I don't know what flavors we're even tasting tomorrow! I assumed when I made the appointment that the baker would ask me what I like/don't like but she didn't. She asked for cake inspiration pictures and color swatches (which I don't have, bride fail) so I'm guessing there will be a variety. FI HATES chocolate so we can't do anything chocolate. So maybe white cake with a filling? I don't know, I'm clueless with this stuff.

@southernpeach89 that sounds like an awesome birthday idea! I'm going to be in NOLA for FI's birthday weekend so maybe I'll do a scavenger hunt thing for him too!

@hummingbird125 have fun in Chicago and also I don't know how I feel about sitting next to you on a plane in a couple of months....(insert side-eye emoji).

@swazzle have fun on your trip, pick me up on the way if you want because that road trip sounds amazing. Say "hi" to my parents for me! I hope your leg feels better!

@dignity100 I used to have a standing desk, we used to call them "COWS" (computers on wheels) until a patient overheard someone saying "It's over by the COW" and she thought they were talking about her. So now they're called "WOWS" (workstation on wheels). I don't use them anymore thank goodness. I hated them.

@buddysmom80 I was thinking gallbladder issues too before we went to the ER because he has abdominal pain but no fever or vomiting like he would have if it were his appendix, but they said his gallbladder and appendix both looked fine and there were no gallstones or kidney stones.

@Swazzle I am painting the frames for our escort card display and starting on some of the cards tonight. We have about 60-70% of our RSVPs back so I'm doing what I can with the cards until we get the rest back by next weekend hopefully. Our RSVP date is 8/9.

@dignity100 unfortunately FI is not feeling much better.  He still has a lot of sharp pains in his abdomen but luckily he has pain meds now and those are helping manage his pain.  His nausea went away and he is slowly starting to get his appetite back. Thanks for asking

I'm currently on a train going to NYC for the day. I have to go to Wall St so hopefully I can make it before they all flood out for lunch! Also hoping to catch an off peak back home but we will see how it goes. I want to stop at the Union Sq DSW as well.

I had plans with my dad to work on the drywall in the basement tomorrow but I should confirm. I have a bunch of work to finish before I leave for Chicago too... and I still need to figure out a hotel!!

Sunday I don't leave until the afternoon so hopefully I can spend some time with SO before. ... but he usually sleeps all day so no big plans.

I really need to get moving figuring out a photographer but WP is just so blah....

We have no plans for tonight.  I need to clean a bit tonight though. Tomorrow H's parents are coming by to help take out our old kitchen counters and sink.  The new counters and sink are being installed Monday. Yay.  There are no other plans for Saturday really. I did get an email this morning our wedding video is ready so that is being mailed out to us today. 

Sunday there are no plans either and since we won't have much of a kitchen we'll be eating out or ordering take out.  I need to run some errands and do some grocery shopping on Sunday too.  We can't do much because of FI's knee either.  We were invited to a friend's house on Sunday for a pool party but I'm not sure yet if we will go. 

It's random and I'm probably totally irrationally upset, found out last night H's cousin had her baby, we had been emailing each other last week and she said she was due any minute.  So she named her baby the name I loved for over 10 years and wanted to name my someday daughter.  It feels weird now to ever use it since someone in the family already has(even though she is in OH) and I'm irrationaly upset over it.  It's really silly I know. 

If my co-worker keeps talking to herself about every step she is doing with excel today I just might scream.  Happy Friday everyone.

Posting without reading, but I'll read in a little bit.

I'm slightly off this morning because yesterday was the BEST DAY EVER which I will AW later when I can sit down and do it properly.

Tonight, Saturday, and Sunday are going to look very similar around here: work on making our new home look and feel less like a glorified storage unit. To that end, does anyone have 5-shelf wire-rack shelving they can recommend for not-stupid prices? I'm feeling gouged by what I'm finding online and in stores. Right now I think we'll end up ordering from Target.

Also we're going to watch all the MST3K on Netflix and Sharknado and Sharknado 2 while we're working. Glorious.

@severmilli12 - My FI's niece was in and out of the hospital late last year with abdominal pain.  She thought it was her gallbladder/gallstones but all her tests came back normal.  They did the same type of testing and found nothing with her.  She has low pain tolerance, so she was in the hospital for 3 days while they ran tests.  They made her go to pain management classes and stopped giving her the heavy duty pain meds as well (because they didn't want her to get addicted, part of me thinks they thought she just wanted the pain meds).  They only thing they found was H. Pylori which causes ulcers.  I know they did some tests on her gallbladder and it was working around like 30% or something like that which is normal (her family has a history of gallbladder problems).  I'm not sure if it still bothers her or not.

@Peaseblossom55 -I love that name! I'm sorry she is using it...grrr...I hate it when I hear about family and friends using names that I wanted my future children to have lol. It does feel kind of irrational to be upset about but it's still like UGH!!! I wanted that name!

Tonight I'll be at the barn riding, tomorrow we're browsing wedding bands and spending time with his parents and I'm not sure what we're up to on Sunday yet. Probably something fun.
