Woo! Friday!

So, my wedding shoes just arrived and they are FABULOUS! They're seriously stiff and gonna need a LOT of wearing in, but I am so in love with them. They are the greatest!

I just got done with our inner envelope labels (I know they're supposed to be hand addressed, but FI and I both write like spiders on coke and we definitely can't afford a calligrapher), and they look great. I've still gotta do the outer envelope labels, and redo the invite because for some reason the text is printing up really blurry, but I've got until Monday to get that sorted.

I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow, and then FI and I are going to snuggle forever. I'm doing my nails now because it's been weeks since I last did a mani, I treated myself to a Milo-coffee this morning, and I'm making chili tonight.

So what are your plans for the weekend?

Hooray for shoes! I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and then plan to work on lesson plans all weekend. My husband has been home an unprecedented 3 weeks, so I have fallen behind getting stuff done. I'm sad he is leaving tomorrow, of course, but I do need to get busy and it's hard to be motivated to do it while he is home.

@kytchynwitche - sounds like an awesome start to the weekend!  Yay for the shoes, the mani, the hair cut, progress on the invites, and super yay for forever snuggles!

I'm just gonna spend most of my shift today doing the important things, like, you know...knotting.

FI and I have a trip to NY in Sept. and we're supposed to book our flights tonight!  : )  Yay!

The parents just got back from vacation with the baby sibs, so I'll probably stop by and see them at some point. 

Other than that, same old stuff as every weekend!  Work!

Tonight I am making more centerpieces. Hooray. 

Tomorrow we're going to see NIN/Soundgarden! Ahhhh! I'm so excited. We're going with a bunch of our friends too. 

Sunday we're going out on the boat, if the weather is nice.

I'm so looking forward to this weekend - we've had the kids for a very large percentage of the last three weeks and we adopted a new puppy last Friday.  The kids are with their mom this weekend and the puppy hasn't had any crate accidents in two days, so DH and I are very much looking forward to being able to sleep past 3:45 am tomorrow.  Yea for sleep!

FI and I have a good weekend planned. Tonight we're going to see Luke Bryan thank to FI. The tickets sold out in less than 2 minutes when they went on sale initially. He knew I was disappointed so he bought us tickets off of stubhub a few weeks ago. Love love love.

Tomorrow he has to work in the morning but then he promised that we could get my bathroom painted and our second bedroom primed (right now it's awful dark purple color that will need at least a couple coats of primer before paint).

Sunday we'll probably just relax around the house and maybe go to his parents for dinner. FFIL has been slightly disrespectful and terse with me lately so I'm not totally thrilled with going over there but FMIL is amazing so I can always just hang out with her and ignore FFIL.

I have my final FINAL dress fitting on Saturday and then get to bring my dress home finally! On Sunday I'm going shopping with my MoH for my  last under the dress "essentials" O:-) and then trying to finalize EVERYTHING that I can finalize for my wedding - this is basically my last full wedding planning weekend. Next weekend if my bachelorette weekend - we are going to the beach for a relaxing weekend of girl time.

I also expect lots of FI cuddle time this weekend - and of course plenty of time on TK.

Yay shoes! I am still struggling to find the shoes I want.

I don't have anything planned this weekend. Probably cleaning around the house some and we really need to mow the yard. I'm moping because FI has to work again this weekend AND next weekend. So that means he will have worked 25 days in a row. 

And he is starting to get cranky. Haha.

I've got nothing on the agenda for the first time in months.  Hooray!

I'm not telling people IRL because I will hate to have to say it didn't work out.  But my law firm just emailed us that they need two of the new associates to start in Sep or Oct, instead of Nov like they originally planned.  That's a lot of extra money that would really come in handy for the wedding, plus I just hate not working.  I am itching to just start my career.  They said they'd choose randomly out of those who emailed them to say we're available, so I sent that email immediately.  I don't know when we find out.

So anyway, I'm putting out good mojo into the universe, and hoping they pick me to start early.

We have our meeting with the bakery tomorrow to talk about what our cake should look like and the flavors we decided on.  We will see if our cake topper arrives today so I can take it with to the meeting.  Otherwise, I will show them a picture and take it to them when it does get here.

Then we have both sworn that we will finish deciding on the music for all the "special" stuff and fill out the DJ's site so we can check that off the list.  I didn't realize how many parts of a ceremony and reception were supposed to have a special song until I looked at their site.  Ugh.

I might also try to finish figuring out the program layout and get those printed so FI and I can start assembling the fans. Those are the last big project we have to finish and I am looking forward to it being done.

Other than that, our plans also include snuggling forever.  That is the part I am most looking forward to, and I hope it takes up most of the weekend.

I GET TO GO TO THE BEACH I AM SO EXCITED YAYAYAYAY! ...Except FFIL shared an article on Facebook and tagged FI and me in it, about some sort of flesh eating bacteria in the water in the Gulf... and now FI doesn't want to get in the ocean. -.- Thankfully there are about fifteen different pools I can drag his backside into instead, and THEY don't have the sand problem the beach has.  

And then, when FI and I come back on Tuesday, we'll have the house to ourselves since my family (with whom we're living at the moment) won't be coming back until NEXT Saturday. 

I just have to survive until four. I can do that. I think...

I'm excited for our weekend. Date night tonight downtown with my FI. Tomorrow is my first dress fitting (EEK!) and we are going to a birthday party for one of my old high school friends that I haven't seen in years. Should be a fun reunion! Sunday we are chillin' on the lake with FI's grandparents. I also might start addressing invitations. I'm so anxious to get them out!

Yay for Friday!! My top priority for the weekend is sleep. So.freakin.tired this week. 

Beyond that, I think we're going to rent a full frame camera (6D? 5D Mark II?) to see if I like 'em enough to make the jump or if I should just upgrade to a 7D. Decisions, decisions...

It's Heritage Days this weekend, so DH, MIL and I are heading out to the festival.  We haven't been in years cos we're always out of town.

Today I'm picking up things from the dry cleaners. Hopefully they were able to get that stain out of my pretty dress! I also have a hair appointment today which I'm really excited for. I love getting my hair done! Then I'm just going to pack up for our roadtrip.

Saturday I'm working a couple of hours at my museum in Roanoke. Afterwards V and I are going to hit the road and stop by his friends house. I'm really nervous/excited to meet his friend. He tells me his wife is kinda rude so I'm not looking forward to that. We are suppose to be grilling and staying the night so we will see what happens.

On Sunday we are going down to Georgia! I'm going to be meeting his family, ahhhh. They seem to already like me so that's good. We are suppose to be staying for a week or so. @beethery Maybe I'll be able to drag V to those places you suggested. Overall, it looks like a great weekend!

I second WinstonGirl; we're going to need some shoe pics here! I'm super excited for the weekend. After work today I have my hair trial and then tomorrow is my bachelorette! My BM's are being a little mysterious about it, but I've been told to report at "high noon" and to bring workout clothes for outdoor funtivities (???) and going out clothes for the evening. I do know that we'll crash at MOH's house Saturday night, have brunch the next morning (for which I've been told bacon, and only bacon will be served; I don't know if I want this to be true or a joke) and then head off to a baseball game. Can't wait to spend time with my best girlfriends!

Today is my halfday afternoon day, so at 1 I'm going to hit the gym. Afterwards, going to try on more wedding dresses. Tonight, I have nothing planned. Just going to make a yummy meal for dinner, inspired by @lolo883. Tomorrow 2 of my best friends are having surprise 30th bday parties. One of the besties is one of FI's best man. Not too sure if we will be able to make both, so we're going to talk about that later.

Sunday evening is Bday dinner for one of the bday boys at a yummy restaurant  - it has been tradition since his 18th birthday to go there for his bday. So, a weekend of 30th birthdays! Then next week is mine!

I have a half day at work today YAAAY!.  I also have plans to cuddle with my FI this weekend!  Hopefully I'll be able to get the apartment clean.  When he doesn't work weekends, I end up not cleaning as much as I planned because FI ends up finding a movie or a new season of TV shows to watch, and then I become a couch potato.  I'm going to try and resist the couch potato in me until I have everything done.

Not much going on here for the weekend. I have been having a very tough time after my latest treatment. I was back in the ER yesterday, but thankfully, it turned out to be nothing serious. I'm just in an obscene amount of pain which has the doctors scratching their heads. So, I forsee lots of sleeping. Lots and lots of sleeping!!!

We have friends coming over tonight for pizza and games. So I'm looking forward to that. And Sunday starts my vacation.

But at the moment, I'm dealing with killer cramps and an upset stomach. My car died yesterday, transmission went. So I'll be car shopping next week. Looking at the Ford Focus and Fiesta. Any ladies have one of those?

@chibiyui no personal experience with either model but I know quite a few people with the new Ford Focus and they're pretty impressed. FI's cousin (who's pretty in to cars and motorcycles) has one and he's in love.

@chibiyui FI and I have the 2014 Ford Focus hatchback in the standard model and love it! We get 38mpg on average and it is actually more spacious than you'd think. It really runs well because it has 6 different gears (instead of 5) and shifts more like a manual.

That is what we should be doing, since we just moved this week, but everything else sounds like more fun than unpacking.

I'm scrapbooking with a friend tonight. Big bowl of nothing tomorrow and Sunday, despite Sunday being my birthday. FI is in Vegas and won't be home til Sunday night. Womp womp. I might try to make my veil, and remake the baby elephant toy. And drink a lot.

Love new shoes. especially wedding shoes!!!  Actually, at just about two years an old married hag I am currently wearing my wedding day flats at work. . . . I wear them like once or twice a week, and will be so upset when I wear through them.  They make me happy whenever I put them on!

 

I'm hoping we get to leave work early since it's dead here, and DH wants to get out to our bar tonight since it is grand opening weekend!!!

Saturday I will be going on a field trip with the local girls group I support, weather permitting, then off to the winery that features only sparkling wine with DH to try their new sparkling rose we just heard about.  If it rains I really, really have to vaccuum and mop our floors, they are out of control!

Sunday I work at my second job, at a winery. . . . hopefully there is a good crew on the schedule, it really makes all the difference.
