Nicest thing that SO did lately?

Re: Nicest thing that SO did lately?

  • FI drove all the way across to town to meet some random person from craigslist at this random Russian Orthodox Church in the middle of nowhere because I asked him if he would buy the gold chargers I wanted for the wedding :)
  • FI drove all the way to my apartment over his lunch break and did the dishes and folded the laundry so that I could rest tonight instead of doing chores. A perfect surprise to come home to after a long day of work.

  • I have to add another. I just showed DH the photo album I made of the wedding to get his opinion before I print anything and he subtly wiped a tear from his eye. Awwwwwwww.

The only other time I've ever seen him cry (and let me tell you, I've seen him go through some pretty heavy stuff), was during the reading of the 13th amendment in Lincoln. Compassionate men are so endearing.

Thank you all for contributing to this list. It's a really feel-good one.

  • I had an early morning conference call today that I decided to take before heading into the office. FI usually drives me to the train in the morning, stopping off for coffee along the way. He got up an hour early so he could go pick up coffee so I would be caffeinated for my call.

He also yelled at me last night for how I handled my best friend. She's going through a lot of personal drama right now and has a flexible work schedule. He heard our conversation and got ticked at me for not telling her to come stay with us for a while to get away from her icky situation. I told him my reasoning and he responded by texting her that she needed to come- and that we would buy her ticket if she needed it. I absolutely adore him for this.

(We have a tiny house. Our guest room is under repair (a bigger project than FI anticipated so we're waiting for his friend to help redo the floor in 2 weeks, after which we paint and put all of the furniture back). FI works from home and has been working from the living room since we started the project- and that's where my friend would be sleeping. I was afraid that having her here would be too intrusive giving our current lack of space.)
