Chapel of flowers - rushed/guests taking photos?

Hi all, this is my first post on here, I'm looking for some advice from brides who have married at the Chapel of Flowers, most reviews are excellent but some complain of being rushed (expected to some degree I guess) and the fact guests cannot take photo's while the professional photographer is taking photos during and after the ceremony. I was just wondering if there was a less busy day/time of the day to get married, which may make it seem less rushed and perhaps give guests time to take photos in the garden once the professional photographer is done. We are coming over from the UK with family and friends and plan to be in Vegas for a full week so are very flexible with the day and time of the wedding. Any tips gratefully appreciated. Thank you :)

Re: Chapel of flowers - rushed/guests taking photos?

  • We were married at 4pm on a Saturday. There were a few other ceremonies going on around us, but I do not feel like we were rushed at all. We paid for the photo copyrights, so we were allotted a 45 minute photo shoot. While we were taking photos, our guests stood, and sat in the shade, outside of the chapel. We had about 30 guests and were married in La Capella Chapel. Our guests were using cell phones to take photos, while we were in our photo shoot. I don't think it was a big deal because no one was in the way of our photographers. At one point, on of our guests was walking around with a camcorder, and I asked him to put it away, just in case there was an issue, and there wasn't anything to be filming (in my opinion). But we did not feel rushed at all. If your family will be there all week, I would suggest a wedding during the week. There are less people getting married mid week, and I believe you will be able to get a better rate. Also, dinner reservations are easier to get during the week.

    Hope that helps!

  • I got married at COF at 2pm on a Thursday in October.  I didn't feel rushed and my guests took some photos while we were in the grounds being photographed by the Chapels photographers.

We didn't get any extra photography packages as we hired another photographer for two hours later in the day.
