response card envelope

Silly question.....but do I have to address and fill out the response card envelope or should they? Just stressed I'm going to fill out invites wrong. ..lol

Re: response card envelope

  • Are you asking if you need to make sure there's an address on the RSVP envelopes? Yes, you do. How else would your guests know where to send their RSVP?

You do not need to write the guests' individual return addresses on the envelopes if that's your question.

  • I have declined to send the RSVP back because I did not know the address to send it to.  The return address on the envelop was no help because it was the address of the venue where the wedding was being held.

What I found out later was the "venue" was the bride's parents' house which happens to have a name.  So she used the house's name on the return address instead of her own.

  • The RSVP envelope should be pre-addressed to wherever you want the responses to be sent. You don't need to pre-address the guest's return address - that's their responsibility.

It should also be pre-paid (you put the stamp on it).

  • I was just wondering about their address. I've been putting on the address to send it to.
  • No, you don't need their return address on them.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14
