Help Between these Two dresses

I like both of these but I'm not sure which one I like better. They are both similar in appearance but I was wondering what everyone else thought. Both are just a bit big on me but will look better once fitted.

Re: Help Between these Two dresses

  • At first glance I thought the pictures were of the same dress.  I think I like the second one a bit more then the first though I really can't put my finger as to why.  Maybe it is because of the softer looking lace.

  • I know, isn't that weird? When I was looking at the pictures I asked my sister why she didn't take one of the other dress. They have a really similar silhouette. One has more beading and thicker lace. The other one is definitely more subtle. It's also satin and lighter, while the other is more structured.
  • They are both beautiful on you, but I'm also leaning towards the 2nd one! I think it also depends on what type of wedding you're wanting too...are you going the more traditional route?
  • I prefer the second dress.  It has lace that I think is prettier, and the straps are more bridal and less lingerie looking to me, if that makes sense.  The train is also really pretty.

  • I prefer the first dress, but they're both beautiful.
  • I vote #2.

  • I'm going for ethereal type of wedding with lots of flowers and greenery.
  • hmmmm, sounds amazing...now I'm leaning towards #1 for that vision...
  • I can't say why, but I'm preferring the first one? Maybe it seems...softer...to me? I'm not sure! They both look great!

  • I think both will work. I'd be going for number 2 personally, but I think 1 gives you more of an ethereal vibe. 2 looks a little more traditional to me.

  • My vote is for #2, however they are both beautiful.
  • I also thought these were the same dress at first look! For the vibe you're going for, I prefer the second. You look beautiful in both.

  • So funny, my friends and family were split down the middle too. Maybe I'll just see if I can try them on again and decide.
  • Maybe toss a coin? Haha.

  • Good news is, I don't think you can go wrong!

  • Are you planning on wearing a veil?  If so, try a veil on with them as well and that may help you really decide which is "the one."

  • They are both gorgeous gowns, but I prefer the second. I like the lace on it a bit more. The suggestion to try them both with a veil is a good one. Good luck!
    Happiness is an inside job
  • #2 is more flattering and kind of flows with your body more, if that makes sense.

  • They are both beautiful! I think I like the neckline on the second one though... the first one has very straight lines at the neck, while the second one is a little softer.

  • I really like the second one!
  • Super similar to mine but they look better on you since your rack actually fills it and mine doesn't hahaha. But I vote #2!!

  • I think both are lovely, but I'd go with #2.
  • @jenna8984 Haha, that's the first  time anyone has said that to me. I'm a C in a family of women blessed with DD.

Thanks again for all the votes. I am wearing a lace edged mantilla veil, if that affects anyones votes. It sucks because I want to ask my fiance's opinion but I know  he wouldn't want to see it yet anyway.
  • #1 is softer and more flattering to me. It looks more expensive than #2.
  • They are actually both almost exactly the same price, which is frustrating. If one was cheaper then that would decide for me.
  • They are both beautiful. I think the first one is a little more flattering than the second.

  • Is it just a shadow or does the second one have some sheerness to the midsection--almost like a band?  I really don't like the dresses that are sheer on the bodice.  They read lingerie to me, and when it's as sheer as some, like Pnina dresses, I think it looks slutty.  Yours isn't at all like a Pnina, but if it is sheer in the midsection, I'd either line it really well or go with the first.
  • I actually think the first looks more hollywood glamour, and the second looks more romantic ethereal. They're both lovely.
  • Holy gorgeous gowns, Batman! They both like amazing, but something draws me more to #1. I like the straps and the way it shows off your waist better than the second, personally :)
  • ps- I find it very difficult to judge these dresses since the pictures are of you at a different angle. The first dress appears more flattering to your waist like PP have said, but I tend to think that's all about the frontal angle.
