DJ Recommendations

Hello!  My fiance and I are will be starting to look for a DJ within the next couple of months and wanted to know if anyone had any recommendations for us in Milwaukee area.  Also, if anyone has had any bad experiences with DJs that would be great to know as well.

TIA!

Sound Sensations did my brother's wedding, and I have them booked for mine.  They are based in Oshkosh, but will go all over the state (no travel charge).

Ed Eaton is the Owner and he is a very nice guy.  He even gave us $100 off just for being referred.

I like Midwest Sound, but they are one of those companies that you don't know your DJ until a couple of weeks before, which is not for some people.  I've been to four weddings they did (each one had a differet DJ) and they were awesome at  all four.  My DOC also had nothing but good things to say about them...and their price could not be beat (at least in my reseawrch).

Try All Star Music.  You get the owner Craig as your DJ, he gets great reviews.

Alan Robb  Scottish DJ as done a couple of weddings that I've attended.
Scott Thomas  Sweet Sounds of Music (I think)  does a nice job... more involved than any DJ I've ever seen at a wedding. :)
    Bill Wondrachek?

There are a couple others that my friends have used, but the names escape me.  I would recommend going with a company that let you meet your DJ well in advance so that you develop a repoire with him/her.  Some places just send someone they hire on short notice and it makes a bad impression.

    Good luck

Jukebox Bandstand was awesome at my older sister's wedding.  They are located in Madison, but I believe they will travel anywhere (they are traveling an hour for my wedding this september).

I second All Star.  Craig is AMAZING! Kept the floor packed all night and unlike the big DJ companies....I knew I was going to get him and not the owners second cousin that is still in high school.

My sister had Kart Tunes. They were AWESOME. They had Karaoke, made a slideshow, had games and events, and had screens up so they played the music video for all of the music they played. They also received a CD at the end of all the music they played in the order it was played and all of the announcements. You can also choose to do all of their options or none of them or pick and choose. For everything that you get, they are very reasonable, not to mention fun and they really make the reception even better. They are more of an entertainment group rather than DJ.

Try Robb @ Metropolitan Sounds.  AMAZING guy.  Super fun and very, very professional.
