1. Bridesmaid and college acquaintance/friend was not drinking at all during the weekend. She is a newlywed and even passed on regular coffee. Bride said something to the affect of "even though you aren't telling me you're pregnant" and Bridesmaid just clammed up. It was glaringly obvious the situation, but I actually just kept it shut and was excited for her.
2. My speech was well received even though I was so nervous and I stumbled over words and my voice wavered so bad, I don't care. I said what I had to say and bride and groom know much they mean to me.
3. Parents were at the wedding as well (mine, I mean) and college friend who had never met them said, "NOW I KNOW WHERE YOU GET IT!!!". Ugh, full circle. FULL CIRCLE. I felt mostly bad for DH who sometimes can't handle my family, and their boisterous and often overreaching behavior.
4. I pulled a tick off H after a 3 hour hike up to falls in Northern MN, he was all "what's this?" and I grabbed it and threw in on the ground. YUCK.
