Thanks, everyone! I'm really thrilled with how it turned out, and I'm glad y'all helped convinced me to stick with the plain band. 

I'm still going back and forth on whether or not I'll take the ring with me to Cancun. I'm worried about either losing it, damaging it, or attracted unwanted attention. I know I'm probably feeling a little overprotective of it though since it's so new and is so special. I've taken plenty of other rings to beach resorts and ski resorts before, and I've never had any issues. I'll have to think about it a little more. 

@kaitlynmichelle Your honeymoon sounds perfect, especially for you guys. I love being away from WiFi and cell towers. It's so calming and peaceful. I hope the next few weeks fly by for you!

@phira *sigh* I've decided to be smart and not take it with me. It would probably be just fine, but I don't want to risk it. I appreciate all your input--it definitely helped me make that decision. If I feel the need to wear a ring while I'm down there, I can wear my mom's ring.

I probably wouldn't bring it on vacation, as difficult as that will be.  I went away for 4 days and I left my ring home, though I did wear a stand in.  I missed my real precious!

It's beautiful congratulations!!  I love all the little details with the stones and that it's so personal to you guys.  I've had my ring almost 2 years now and I STILL stare at it and get giddy on the regular so get used to it!

Thank you! I definitely wanted a ring that reflected us, and we had fun figuring out which setting to use. I love this giddy feeling, so I'm happy it won't go away any time soon.

I don't understand why people are so against wearing their ring on vacation. I'm a firm believer that the safest place for it is on your finger. It's not just going to suddenly fall off your hand because you're in another state or country.

I was hesitant to wear it because I was worried about it attracting unwanted attention or potentially falling off in the ocean or a cenote or something. I think part of the reason I'm so nervous about it is because it's brand spankin' new. I'm sure once I've had it for a while I'll be less overprotective.

It's gorgeous! Since you're nervous about wearing it on vacation, wear a substitute ring. One that you won't care if you lose.
