Happy Friday everyone!

I'm working at one of my old offices today so I can TK it up all day!

What's everyone's plans this weekend???

Tonight I'm not doing anything since I'm working all day

Tomorrow I'm bringing kittens to the vet, buy some pool chemicals then I have to clean the pool (we have an algae situation, happens every year). My BP is coming over later in the afternoon so we can go up to Alfred Angelo for them to pick out BM dresses. We might go out to dinner after, or it might just end up being my one BM, her BF (FI's BM), FI and I hanging out.

Sunday we're cleaning the house because I have dog hair tumbleweeds going through the house.

Today I'm working a 12, so nothing exciting there. Gonna come home and do some laundry and whatnot afterward.

Saturday I'm doing a CPR renewal course with a friend from nursing school, and then we're gonna get dinner and go see a movie since we haven't done that in like MONTHS.

Sunday seeing a couple more friends and getting ready for my pinning ceremony on Monday!

I'm taking a half day today because this afternoon I have to drop off Maddux at @LaPeanut108 's house so he can play all night with his cousin Cinders. H and I are going to a bday party for one of my girlfriends at the Sweet Water Brewery in ATL. Then afterwards we are all going to Gordon Biersch for dinner.

Saturday H has to work a bit at school so I'll probably go to CrossFit and come home and clean a bit before we got to a wedding shower for H's friend getting married next March. It's a pool party and it's supposed to rain so I'm sort of glad I won't have to expose my pale skin.

Sunday H has to work all day so it will just be me and Maddux. I'll probably finish cleaning and cook dinner.

FI has to work tonight @ 8pm until sometime tomorrow late morning/early afternoon.  I'm hoping to get a little cleaning done and a little relaxing.  My house is a complete mess and I really want to get it cleaned up before we're married.  Saturday we have tickets to go see a Cirque du Soliel show - Varekai.  Sunday we have an arena football game - if they win, then Gladiators will go to Arena Bowl (which will be hosted in Cleveland).

@southernpeach89 of course I will share pictures!!!! I'm hoping that I can see what type of fabric looks best on them and then have them choose a long dress in that particular fabric. My BP vary in height and weight so getting the same dress for all isn't going to work.

@dignity100 I'm so jealous you're going to Cirque du Soleil! I always wanted to go, I think they might do a show in Orlando so when we go in March, I'll make FI drag my mom and I to that and he can go drinking with my dad.

Happy Friday!!

Today I'm in charge of waiting for the cable guy and waiting for the carpet cleaning people. Exciting stuff I tell ya but it will all be worth it when I have internet/tv and clean carpets that don't smell like old people and their dogs

That will likely take up most of the day unless the cable guy comes early. If he comes early I might swing by the apartment and get some boxes.

I think we are gonna spend the night here woot woot! And we might see TMNT lol.

Also, we are homeowners!! And we managed to change all the locks last night so we are pretty impressive lol.

@blue I was SOOOO excited the first night we stayed over my house. I wanted to stay the night we closed and sleep on the floor, but FI wasn't on board for that. Next house though, I'm doing it. Congrats again!

@buddysmom80 - I love Cirque shows.  There's so much going on in them to take in.  At downtown Disney they have La Nouba - I saw it once and it was really good.  I'd love to go back and see it again!!

I came in early today because my week has been all over the place. I have a few things that I NEED to deal with today, and might end up staying a bit late to make sure that all of the important stuff is off my desk. Next week is my last week before vacation and I don't want to leave stuff hanging around while I'm away.

Tonight I want to do nothing except sit on the couch and eat pizza and watch tv. We have had an unexpectedly busy week; it was a long weekend so I wasn't home, and then FI and I have been out every night this week. So my apartment is a disaster, my laundry is overflowing, and there is  no food in my kitchen. I've basically been home long enough to make a mess, but not long enough to clean anything up! So this needs to be addresses pronto.

Tonight is hopefully lazy (but honestly I'll probably do some laundry), tomorrow is cleaning and errands, Sunday will be church and relaxing with FI's family...and hopefully grocery shopping, because I'm sick of having to buy lunch!

YAY for Friday!! This week has kinda sucked, and I didn't get to fully enjoy last weekend, so I'm even more excited for this one.

Tomorrow I'm going wedding dress shopping with my mom. FINALLY. I'm nervous because the place we're going to doesn't take appointments and I'm anticipating it being very busy and disorganized. If they have the last dress I fell in love with, and I try it on again and love it again, I'll probably buy it. However if I find something else I like more, I may have to go back another day next week to try it on one more time to be sure. Either way, my goal is to buy a dress THIS WEEK. I'm busy almost every weekend between now and October, sooo it's kind of now or never.

Other than that FI and I really need to clean our messy apartment. We're also going to get to work on planning a weekend away for October. It's been over a YEAR since we went away together for something other than visiting family or attending a wedding, and I think we could really use it.

@buddysmom80‌ thanks!! It means I'm a graduate nurse, and then I just have to take the NCLEX to be able to practice. Always one more step, lol.

I don't know what we're gonna see yet, we really just want the experience of going to a movie theatre, lol. Any recommendations?

YAY FRIDAY! Tonight FI and I are going to a shower for his best friend and his FI. Tomorrow we're hopefully going with FMIL to check out restaurants for our RD, if she's feeling up to it. She's been sick since last weekend and is having a CT scan today to try and figure out what's wrong with her.

On Sunday the alumnae group I belong to is having a shopping event at Loft, which is always really fun. Wine and shopping makes me a happy laura.

This cable guy has the worst customer service. I bought the house yesterday and he has complained three times already about how awful a house is. Ok then, how about you do your job? And when I inform you that your customer service skills are lacking, they should get better not worse.

Don't worry, your supervisor will love to hear from me...

Tonight I think FI and I got roped into going to gaming, but since we've been fairly antisocial lately, we should probably go. Which will mean FI will play games and I will report-write if at all possible. 91 pages on that report from hell and counting ...

Tomorrow I think I'm going to end up going in to the office and continuing to report-write. I'm hoping to convince FI that just because we can now walk across the rooms does not mean we've actually moved in and perhaps he should do more work around here. Also I need to have my eyebrows and lip waxed - hope I can still get an appointment at the salon.

Sunday FI and I are going to my dad's aunt's apartment for a huge-ass family get-together. I like my great-aunt (sometimes refer to her as my aunt by her request, so apologies if there's ever confusion), but I don't care for most of the rest of my dad's family. I'm hoping to be able to hide in a corner with my knitting or get in on a pinochle table for essentially the whole day so I can avoid the cousins who are probably convinced they're on the guest list ... And this was supposed to be a 6-person get-together which became a 30+ person get-together, so there's not even room at her apartment to hold it and she had to get the community room. I feel for her.

Tonight H and I are heading up to the mountains for some camping with friends this weekend. We'll be going on an all day white water rafting trip tomorrow (so excited!!!) and then driving back Sunday afternoon. I've got s'mores fixins all packed and can hardly wait to get up there! MIL is watching the pups this weekend...so he'll be completely tuckered out when we get home, thankfully! Should be a great time!

@Blue&White - I so badly want to spend the night at our new home but H is refusing until we get our furniture in (even though we have an air mattress).  Man thinks the house is haunted and somewhat furniture is going to get rid of the ghosts (and, no, he doesn't do drugs).  Men.

@buddysmom90 and @hummingbird125 - Hope the dress shopping goes well!

I'm working today and headed to our home this afternoon to be there when the guy dropping off our fencing material comes (we can do a back fence but not a side fence until the city approves it but thought we would at least get started...hope they approve the side fence).  I'm picking H up some food he loves here, he's picking me up food in Chicago (he's working there today) and we will both bring our respective meals back to my mom's for dinner tonight.   

Saturday we are up early, early, early to pick up a sander and staining materials for our wood floors we are going to try to refinish on our own.  We then head to our home with lots of family labor (and some manual labor guys my sister's H knows and tearing out shrubbery, tackling the floors and putting up the back fence.

Sunday will be more of the same.  Going to be a long but productive weekend.

Blue & White - I just got my carpets cleaned and it was a amazing difference!! Hope yours turns out great too! And yes Cable companies just flat out suck.

I'm taking a half day to go hang out with my Sis, BIL, niece and nephew before they leave for Germany (for 6 yrs) tomorrow.  :-(  He is in the military but after these orders he can retire and they can come home!!!
I still need to find plans for Saturday night and Sunday but its summer and everyone seems to be busy.

Howdy! Everyone's weekends sound like so much fun!

I have no idea what we are doing tonight. I'm out of work at noon and I am exhausted because BF wanted Tessie to sleep with us last night. She is still a puppy so out of the crate meant play time to her and I ended up chasing her around the house at midnight. I couldn't fall back asleep after that so today is rough. I'm so looking forward to a nap this afternoon.

Tomorrow we are cleaning around the house, laundry and mowing the lawn. We have to go grocery shopping and stuff too. 

Sunday is countryfest!! For those who don't know what that means, there is a concert at Gillette Stadium. People go early in the morning to tailgate and stay all day. We are leaving around 8-9 to head up there. We usually get some drinks at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill, and then start grilling around one. The concert starts at 5:30 and it is Cole Swindell, Lee Brice, Dirks Bentley, and Luke Bryan. It is usually Kenny Chesney every year but he is taking a few years off. Anyways it's a great time and I am super pumped!

I'm excited the weekend is here.  Tonight I'm going out for a girl's night for my friend's birthday to PF Chang's pretty excited for it.  H has physical therapy after work.  Saturday I'm not sure what we are doing, we may be going to Home Depot, Lowes and a local flooring place to finalize what we want in terms of flooring and backsplash for the kitchen.  Then hopefully some relaxing.

Sunday is my birthday,not sure really wha the plans are. H mentioned going to a restaurant we like in New Hope, so we'll see. It would be nice to be spoiled and relax that day too.

@minskat30 why does your H think your house is haunted? I want specifics lol. And if it is haunted, you know NEY loves haunted house stories!!

We are totally sleeping on an air mattress if we stay here tonight haha. The bed isn't coming until either next weekend or Labor Day. And I think the washing machine might come next weekend instead.

I have an interview on Tuesday! It's part time but it's working as a lab aid in a medical lab so that's better than retail! I just hope it's a reasonable pay and number of hours (I have benefits through H's job so I don't NEED them, and could definitely progress quickly in the medical lab field if given some training)

@Blue&White and @Peasseblossom55 - No good stories yet about the home being haunted other than the fact that I think the lady who owned it before the home owners we bought from died there. 

H is just paranoid because its an old house and an owner died there at one point. I've heard rumors from others in the neighborhood about the home being haunted but I think its more the fact that the home is older (floors squeek), dark, shaddy from trees and across from the lake. H loves anything paranormal so he lets his imagination run wild.  If we were a TV couple we would be Mulder and Scully to a tee.

@TwoDimes Boston is pretty fucking sweet! I live on the south shore of MA, but the stadium is about 40 minutes away. It's the stadium where the Patriots play!

Haaaaapppy Friday!! 

This week has been long, for no particular reason. 

Tonight after work, FI & I are driving up to Maine for the weekend. We'll get there late, but I'd rather be there all day tomorrow instead of getting up super early & traveling. 

Tomorrow will be spent on the lake, and I can't wait. My parents are coming to meet FI's family, and I'm still a little nervous, but I think it will be fine in the long run. I think our families will get along just fine, but they're SO different, I'm hoping for as little awkward as possible. 

Sunday we'll hang out for a little bit & then head back home. I'm hoping to convince FI that we should take the back way home again, because even though it takes longer, there's no traffic, which makes is SO much more enjoyable.
