Re: I want to scream!

  • LMAO about sleeping naked! I wish I could. I have a grabby DH and cats who would totally invade my personal space!

@CMGragain‌ those nights look so comfy and hide a multitude of sins!

  • Well, I have a lot of sins to hide!

CMG, Jells, you're doing it wrong.

    Sleep naked!! There's nothing cooler.
Not around DH.  I'd NEVER get any sleep!  38 years, and he keeps going...and going....and going.....
I think that's kind of sweet. I hope that FI still thinks I'm hot after 38 years!

  • yeah I could scream but I'd rather just cry. I wish I had a cat but my fi's dog is such an annoying POS that I know if I got a cat he would revenge-bitch about everything about it so I'm getting a lizard instead. Eff it.
  • We only sleep naked, but it still doesn't help when it gets so hot out.  Window aid open, ceiling fan on, or AC in the window.  I still die some nights.  Doesn't help that DH is a stinking furnace too at night.

  • Burns!  Burns!  Burns near my eye!  Aaaaahhhhhhhck!  I'm so glad DH is gone!  There is nothing anybody can do until they heal.  Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

:( So sorry you are in pain tonight. I have to stop my steroids tonight, so I might be right there with you tomorrow.

This has more to do with the pain than coming off the steroids.  It takes a while for the burns to develop.  It feels like shards of glass at the corner of my eye, but there is nothing there but red, burned skin.  I can't use sprays because it is too close to my eye, which is also burned, but not so sensitive.

Good luck on coming off the steroids.  I felt like a drug addict.  Couldn't stop my hands from shaking.  That is better, now.  It's just the damned PAIN!!!!!!

  • The steroids I was on were because of inflammation from one of the chemo drugs. I felt like I was having a constant heart attack and the pain also shot up into my shoulders. So, I'm more scared of the pain coming back than the side effects.

    I HATE PAIN!!!!!!!!

I wish I had advice for the radiation. I have not had to go through that. I have a whole pharmacy of pain killers, though!

  • I just looked in the mirror.  The red skin turned grey and sluffed off in a gooey mess, and my eyelashes are gone.  No wonder I'm in pain!  I'm SOOOoooooo glad DH isn't here to fuss over me!

  • oh no :( I hope you are able to get comfortable soon!

Maybe I can find some leftover pharmacy meds.  I hate taking meds, so I think I might have some left over from surgery.

    FUCK CANCER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you spray the lidocaine spray into your hands or onto a cotton ball, and dab it on gently? I'm so sorry you're in pain!! The one we have has aloe in it too, which should help the dryness. We keep the bottle in the fridge.

There is really nothing anyone can do.  I've been here before with breast radiation - worse, actually.  I had open, weeping burns for two months after radiation.  It is pain.  Burn pain is the worst kind.  I'm not dying today.
Pain sucks!  I want my eyelashes back!
Thanks for listening to me whine.
