There are some deep. deep discounts that have been posted today for last minute cruises, including Norwegian's  Alaska (7 days) for $329pp. ($569 pp with balcony!)  Call your travel agent if interested.

Ooohh, I've always wanted to do an Alaskan cruise!  Great price for a balcony.  Doubtful we could do it though as we have a vacation already booked for November and it would be hard to get more time off work. 

ETA - @CMGragain - do you mind linking to the special?  I only see the last minute Alaska cruise balcony at $939 cheapest.  Unless they bumped the prices back up.

My Alaska cruise price for next May with Royal Caribbean randomly dropped last week for just 15 hours. I saved $437 and my mom saved $660 on the price drop.

Don't wait too long.  You'll need to pay 100% up front for this deal.  I think you need a passport for Canada now.
This is how we afford to cruise.  You need to be flexible with timing.
