It's the little things

I have an eye doctor appointment this afternoon (4pm) in Aspen.     DH just called, he decide he is going to take the afternoon off and go with me.  We are going to take the bus up to hit up a a happy hour, dinner, go dress shopping for an upcoming wedding after my appointment.     I'm just so excited he is taking the afternoon off I can hardly stand it.

Plus this member 2 weeks ago gave me $80 to take DH to a restaurant in Aspen he wants DH to check out.  There is a dish he likes and wants something similar.  Anyway, last night he gave DH another $20 to have drinks.      So silly, but very thoughtful.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

I would, but it's been 2 years.  I've noticed a change in my prescription.  It's time.     Her office is in the middle of the town (not sure you have been to Aspen, but they have a cute walk able town center.)  Meaning there a plenty of watering holes DH can hang out while I'm at my appointment.

  • That sounds like a wonderful afternoon/evening to me! Enjoy!
