and I just got the script from our officiant. I'm ready to flip my lid. Something has to set me off, right? I swear, he took almost nothing of the script we actually gave him and instead turned it into a sermon about love and marriage. I'm so annoyed right now.
We specifically said we didn't want it to be overtly religious or too Jesus-y. My FI is fairly religious but I'm not.
Luckily, FI has my back in this and was annoyed as I am. He took the slashing pen to it and cut out alot of the religious talk and even wrote for him to "God it down a little bit". I think there were four separate sections of prayers, for our simple ceremony! /rant
FI is calling him tomorrow, sending him the updated document with our edits taking out some of the extraneous religious talk. It will be ok. I'm picking up the linens, getting my eyebrows wax, lashes tinted, and lady bits waxed. Everything will be a-ok. Except my ladybits. I'm a little nervous about those... :-O
