Thursday Accountability

B:  No idea?  Banana and a 'lower sugar oatmeal'?

L:  Salad & 1 slice of pizza

D:  No idea again??

S:  100 calorie almonds, maybe popcorn, probably a rice krispy treat

E:  T25 - yesterday I accidentally did Day 4 instead of Day 3, so I'll do Day 3 tonight.  Day 4 was ab work so my legs got a much needed break.  I'm thinking it's in my head, but I think my jeans are fitting me better in the thighs, but after 3 days, I don't really think that's possible.

I'm so unprepared for today!!

@SoutherPeach89 - I saw that video of your crossfit you posted on FB, man - you're a rock star!

  • @Swazzle - For the ab workout, I think I spent more time staring at the screen saying 'I don't bend like that' and they didn't really show modifier girl enough for me to get a good grasp.  I still sweat through the workout and my abs/shoulders/upper arms are sore today, but they're not as sore as they should be.  Oooh and also how in the world do they get from standing to the floor and from the floor to standing so quickly?!  They were half way through the 'easy progression' before I got my fat bum off the floor (or onto the floor)!!

Another note for me is before ANY ab workout in T25, I must remember to vacuum the rug before hand... Nessie/Loki fur imbedded in the carpet added another level of intensity (as I would pick up my hands trying to get the fur off that was sticking to my sweat - eww gross).  I see they said on that website (thanks!!) that Total Body has floor work too - good to be warned!

All in all - if you've ever been to a Zumba class, you know in every class there tends to be 1 girl that does her own thing and throws everybody off.  If the ab workout had been a Zumba class - I would have been that girl :o(

The dogs - they judge... and push me over (I think they laugh about it and find it funny) - no joke.

I looked at my next workout - if I don't post on here tomorrow by noon, send the paramedics!

    Omg I want that immediately.

  • @LivLeighton - I've never stuck with a workout routine before.  I seriously should start renting out all the workout DVDs I have - I'd be rich!!  Right now the reason I'm sticking with it is because of my upcoming wedding, I really was not happy with how my dress fit me when I picked it up (the modesty panel under the corset didn't snap 'closed' if that makes sense).  I have gained like 10+lbs since I ordered the dress because of bad stress eating (Ladies - this is why you order the dress for the size you are 'now'). Here's the 'about me' so if you wanted to compare your stats:
    Age: 35
    Current pant size: 16
Weight to lose to get to 'Normal BMI': 67lbs
Fitness level:  I would say I probably get slightly winded walking up 2 flights of stairs.

It is only 25 minutes of working out and then a 3 minute cool down and a few minutes of warning and such, so probably about 30-35 minutes of DVD-Playtime (I put my workout shoes on during the warnings and fast forward through the 30 second commercial at the beginning).  I can easily fit that in my day, if it were 40+ minutes, it starts getting into a 'I have better things to do' territory.  I know a lot of people recommended it even for me who is out of shape and overweight.  I am only following the modifier girl right now, I am still sweating and feeling sore at the end of the workouts and having a hard time keeping up.

The way the program is setup - it's a 10 week program.  The first 5 weeks you're on 'Alpha' then you move to 'Beta' for the following 5-weeks.  They also offer 'Gamma' if you feel the need to purchase it.  Workouts are 25 minutes Mon-Thurs then on Friday they ask that you do 2 of the videos (or do one Friday and one on Saturday).  Sunday you're supposed to do a stretch DVD.  From what I've seen, many of the moves are the same/similar from DVD to DVD.

Right now - I don't know what the videos have in store for me, but I don't feel there is enough focus on the arms.  I'm guessing if I survive Alpha and make it into Beta there will be more for arms.

The only other workouts series I've done well with are ones I have on VHS (to show you how long it's been since I've found one I've liked) have been Billy Banks Tae Bo and The Firm workout thing which had the 'Fanny Lifter'.

Let me know if you have any more specific questions :o)

  • @LivLeighton - I had a hard time putting my fitness level on here 'cause a bike ride @ 13MPH for 30 miles will make my legs sore (and currently my bum, but that's a different story), but it's totally do-able.  I'd like to start moving faster on my bike.  There are stops for water though 'cause even though I am able to grab my water bottle and place it back, I'm pretty clumsy and a danger to those around me when I do.  As far as running/jogging - you'd be luck to get 2 minutes out of me.

  • I am eating all the things. Sorry not sorry.

@Dignity100 and @Swazzle - Do you guys like T25? It sounds challenging, but does it seem like something you like and will stick with? I need to incorporate a home workout to my routine for nights that the gym closes before I can get there, and I am so freaking sick of Jillian Michaels and her whore mouth.
I like it a lot! I feel more of a burn and sweat way more than I do with 30DS. I agree about Jillian, I need a break from her. I am looking forward to being able to start T25 again.
