Re: Oh hell no

  • Damn- I could have raised money for my wedding and then said "Thanks! We just got married! No one was invited!" It would have been paid for with no drama and stress of planning. Double win. ;)

Last time I checked, it costs about $60-$80 for a marriage license. Some people will never learn.

  • But look! GoFundMe has a page for that, it must be a thing! http://www.gofundme.com/wedding-donations/

  • I had a friend on Facebook who started asking for donations and votes to a "dream wedding" before she was even technically engaged. I felt like telling her that if they're living at home and can barely afford to survive then they probably shouldn't be getting married.

    What is wrong with people?!

We had friends get married in a private ceremony.  They posted pictures and a brief story explaining things and indicated that they wanted to have a big celebration later.  Cool.  As long as there are no reenactments, this sounds okay.  Congratulatory comments ensue.

Next day they post a thank you for the comments and a link to their honeyfund!!  UGH!!  Of course I clicked it because I am nosy, and it's all, "we have what we need, now we are looking forward to a new experience" BS.  I mean, come ON, people!
