Monday! A New Week!

What are you doing today? What do you have planned for the rest of the week?

I'm so excited, I actually get to see DH 4 nights this week! I get to eat dinner with him! I NEVER see him because of our work schedules except for maybe one a week!

I am dreaming about what we will do, what we will talk about! Haha. We can go to the mall and look at stuff together, look at our new house being built.. Possibly a date night?? Omg.

It's looking like FI might have actually come around to buying a house this year instead of next! He sent me one that he wants me to drive by on my way home from work and see if it's worth setting up a showing. Then we're going to bar trivia tonight with some friends. Yay!

On the one hand, I feel bad for SO because the twice-monthly game night he really looks forward to was cancelled indefinitely going forward.

On the other, I get him to myself this evening!  It's discount night at both the froyo place and the drive in (playing TMNT), so that's what I have cooking tonight!

This morning the appliance recycling place came to get my old refrigerator and hopefully my dad can swing by this evening and help SO get the backup fridge from the basement/garage up into the kitchen.  The kitchen looks so much bigger without the hulking fridge, but this bi-level kitchen business is not fun!

Finally game night is back on for me! Unfortunately I am exhausted. I want to nap and it's not even 11 am yet.

Not much going on for me today. Work is going by SO slowly. FI and I have no plans for this evening so maybe I'll try and get wine bottles painted for our centerpieces. I really need to get my butt in gear for this wedding. I still have so much to do!

I can't seem to wake up today. I'm just so exhausted. Nothing too exciting going on today. Just work, the gym and cooking dinner.

I'm definitely in a nap mood as well...woke up at 4am for no discernible reason. Grrrrr.

However, I'm super excited for all my family today! Mom is starting her first day teaching at a new school, brother is moving back up to college and into his first apartment, little sister is going through her first day of sorority recruitment at that same college (yes, we have ALL gone there in my family...including both parents, all aunts aunts and uncles, and all four grandparents, and one great grandmother), and my cousin is starting her first day of high school! Yay for new beginnings!

FI is at home with the DirecTV guy setting that up. I got a text message telling me that TinyBaby is on to the laser pointer. You can get her in the spare room and close the door exactly ONCE with that. If you let her out and need her back in there, you better be ready to risk blood loss or be prepared with a gross gravy canned cat food bribe, because she isn't buying that laser pointer business a second time.

The Orange Menace, on the other hand, will follow a laser pointer anywhere.

He's starting a set of seven night shifts in a row tonight, which means I get to deep clean the house, do any heavy wedding planning, and not have to share the TV all week.

I'm just jazzed because I'm FINALLY going to get a worthwhile callback from a caterer today. <insert party emoji here>

I'm looking forward to going home on Wednesday, but I have to be back here on Thursday for half of the day for an echocardiogram and my Neulasta shot/blood draw. It will be really nice to have DH around all week! He is hone until Labor Day and then my mom flies in. DH and I got into a mini fight yesterday about home shopping. He confessed that he was hoping I would just make the decision for him about selling our homes. Um, what? His rental property is his per our prenup. That just sets things up for major resentment later. So, after all of that, I think we decided to keep both homes in AZ and buy a new one in TX. LMAO *shaking head*

Pretty standard week for me over here, except that on Friday afternoon I get to leave for Vegas for our family ladies trip! Cousin, 2 aunts, and mom are all meeting me there for a fun weekend. :-)

Until then, it's just studying and more studying until I want to throw something out the window.

Everyone sounds like they have busy weeks this week!

 

I am totally exhausted from my shower yesterday. It was amazing and was 100 times more than what I expected. Everyone had such a fun time and they were so generous with their gifts. Needless to say, my week is full of thank you note writing and figuring out what to do with all of the gifts until the wedding. Seriously my apartment looks like Crate and Barrel exploded in it.

ETA: I have a air popcorn maker that I am now going to have to hide from FI so that he doesn't get his hands on it and use it before the wedding!

I'm hating the week so far. I need to write about 170 posts for social media for sites that target teens, ridiculously wealthy and successful women and football fans. And I wish I were exaggerating! So this week, I plan on not storming out of this job, swearing my whole way out. If I can manage to not do that, the week will be a success. 

But husband has a follow up interview (that I'm convinced is just to make sure the director approves of his team's selection) in 20 minutes with a job in Denver, so I'm super excited about that.

You guys, I'm obsessing over this house. I'm Google mapping how far it is from the nearest Kroger and what pizza places are nearby and checking out the neighbors' houses on Street View. I wanted to build, but this is such a great price in a great area that doesn't have land available to build anyway. Mature trees, great schools, easy commute to just about anywhere, AND IT HAS A HOT TUB.

This is my last full week of work before I go on my vacation!  H, myself and our pup head out on our road trip to FL (we live in MD) next Tuesday evening.  We drive straight through so I am really not looking forward to that drive.  But then we will be away from work and everyday life for a full week so I can deal with a 17 hour drive for that.

So this week will consist of preparing for the road trip (laundry, cleaning, packing, etc).

Everyone has exciting things coming up this week! Tonight, we are going to meet with another potential photographer. We are hoping to book someone by the end of the week, and get that out of the way. Other than that, nothing much. FMIL is having her other knee procedure done so she will be staying by us Thursday and Friday night. Meh. I'm just excited that Friday is payday

Today I went shopping and got groceries. Now I am eating bean dip and watching Kardashians. For the next 2 days I plan to do very little and then I go back to work on Thursday.
