So this kid calls and says his parents are owners (timeshare) and do we have rooms available for Oct 25? Answer is no, that is the Saints/Packers game and we have been sold out for weeks now (we only have 18 units). I never got his parent's name as it didn't matter. There are no rooms.
His dad just calls. Asks the same thing. I again say "sorry we are sold out for that weekend". He is like "there is nothing you can do for an owner?". Again "no we are sold out". Then pull up his account. He hasn't made a single payment since 2011.
I'm thinking and laughing to myself "Yeah, sure buddy, I will bend over backwards to get someone who is behind 3 years on their fees a room on one of the busiest football weekends of the year".
Seriously? What is wrong with people?
What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests. Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
