April 2012 Weddings

Checks!

FI and I finished planning the wedding ceremony, and selected our wedding flowers!  We chose white roses and green spidermums.

Re: Checks!

  • Congrats! Those flowers will be lovely together.

What all did you decide to do for your ceremony? Anything special/unique, or anything you're especially excited about? I'm looking forward to having the congregation's involvement, like call and response from the preacher. That probably sounds lame but I think it's cool! I'm Baptist and we don't do that at weddings, but FI is Lutheran and it's at his church.

  • Nice! I started a list of the remaining stationery needs (table numbers, menus, bathroom basket cards etc.) as well as potential layouts for the ceremony programs. We have our next meeting with my Reverand next Monday (we are having an Episcopal ceremony, FI isn't religious at all, but I was raised as an Episcopalian) so I'm hoping we can figure out what to do for readings etc. (our ceremony is going to be at the reception as well, so nothing too church-y). Hoping to nail this down by mid-Feb.

Also it's official--people started receiving our invites! AND I checked/snooped on our registry and people are starting to buy things!! So exciting :) can't wait!!

    Anniversary
  • I'm planning on sending my invites out this week...wanted to get the tasting done with...but they're mostly ready to go!
My twin sis has started helping with some of the craft projects so I'm right on task:
    - Doing seed packets.  My sister finished 100 glittered envelope packets we'll use for those. these double as escort cards, so wont be finished till just before.
-My friend Jode's off to work on my Chuppa awning. I have the other decorations for it finished (garland etc).
-I finished these big paper flower sculptures that'll hang on each chair up the aisle.
-1/2 way done to making our Ketubah.
-Thumbprint tree done, just need one frame.

I'm not 100% sure I'm going to do a photo booth thing yet.  I still need to print out the signage I need, but I have the frames and holders ready to go.
    :)
