Hey everyone.... we are getting ready to sign some contracts, and I am hoping for some feedback. Here are some things we are looking at:
Rehearsal/Ceremony/Cocktails/Reception- Humphrey Scottish Rite Masonic Center
DJ- Double Platinum DJ Service
Photographer/Videographer- Edward Fox
Flowers- Personal Touch by Julie
Photo Booth- PhotoBooth4U

So far... that's all we've got. I am going to be signing contracts and putting down deposits within the week for most of these. Any thoughts???
Also, does anyone know of a good and reasonably prices "day of" coordinator?

I am using Double Platinum as well, but I am not getting married until March 24

I hate to give negative feedback and worry anyone unnecessarily, but my sister used Double Platinum DJ Service and was not happy.  When I started wedding planning that was the only vendor she said to avoid.  They paid additional for certain lighting and that didn't happen.  Music was played that was on their "do not play" list.  And, when it was time for the grand march, the music was all messed up and the DJ didn't even announce the names because he was scrambling (he played the wrong song).  As a guest, nothing was noticable, but to my sister & husband who paid extra than just the DJ fee, they were not happy and did not get any sort of money back.  I've seen other positive reviews on here, but based on her experience I wasn't going to try them.

Hey Bergies-
What other vendors did you choose? I am trying to make some educated decisions, our planning just started... Thanks! Let me know how Double Platinum does at your wedding, are they doing just reception for you? Or ceremony and coctails as well? Did you choose any of the add ons?
