boudoir photos

Does anyone know of where to get these done in the Milwaukee area? How was the experience? How much did it cost?  I know these pictures aren't for everyone, and I'm not 100% sold on the idea yet either.  Thanks.

I didn't do them in Wisconsin, I actually live overseas since we are both AD.  But I have done a couple boudior sessions while he was deployed so he had something.  One I did with a friend and the second I did with a friend who is also a photographer.  I enjoyed taking them and had a lot of fun trying to find ideas and outfits, and he definitely loved the results.  I do think to do them you need to be comfortable with your body, yourself and the person who will be taking the photos; you are allowing yourself to basically be "vunerable" in front of them.  Both of my "photographers" were women and that made a difference for me.  Not to mention if you aren't comfortable it will show in the photos and if you are doing it for your significant other he will be able to tell.  I hope you find someone out there to take them for you, if you decide to do them!

I did mine up in Sheboygan through Brenda Kay Photography. I pretty sure she is willing to travel to milwaukee. It cost me less that $250, I received a cd with the negatives and made a book out of them through Photofish.

Jennifer Brindley does them! I haven't done them yet, but I'm planning to. Her pictures are fantastic and she is right in Milwaukee.

I think that most wedding photographers also do boudoirs - I'd ask your wedding photog., you might even get a discount since you booked your wedding through them.

I haven't heard one person say they regret doing it, I've only heard about awesome experiences!

I have been tossing the idea around, too. By far the highest quality photography and classiest, seems to be Unveiled Photography...Milwaukee area. Let me know if you do it!
