My E-Ring broke!!

Sad day, guys. Sad fucking day.

 

A couple of the stones on the side of my e-ring have come loose. I put my ring in a bad and they promptly fell out. I am taking it into my jeweler after work today but it is going to take them TWO WEEKS to fix it! I am a ball of nerves and anxiety. What if something happens and they don't get it back to me in time for the wedding?!

 

No point to this post but to cry to you all. Anybody have some whiskey?

I'm sure they will rush this and fix it for you.  It sucks though ><  I lost a diamond from my band earlier in the year and I felt horrible and I was pissed!

Haha so the wedding isn't until October 18th, so about 7 weeks. I know I am worrying for nothing, but this is the first time I will be without my e-ring in FOREVER! I feel naked. =(

OP, this happened to me 2 weeks ago. I feel your pain! The jeweler will fix it, don't worry. I was exactly 1 month from my wedding and the jeweler not only fixed it, he buffed it and cleaned it and it looks good as new. It'll be fine! (Now I'm worried I have two more weeks to bang it up again before wedding photos, haha.)

Ugh. What a PITA. Mind if I ask where FI got the ring? PM me if your not comfortable posting it (or don't if you're not comfortable sharing at all).

@SmileDamnit, FI is from a small town in Iowa, so I am not sure if this will mean anything to you. He got it from Gilbert's Jewelers. We got FI's wedding band at Kay, though, so we are going to take it there because it would be a PITA (and I would have a heart attack) to ship it to Iowa.

I highly recommend Trice if your in the market for trying some place new. They have been AWESOME to work with (we got our wedding bands there; FI got the engagement ring at Shane and said he wishes he would've gone to Trice instead). They on-site repair so it might be quicker?? Ask for Jeff - he's the manager.

@smalfrie19--Me too! Everyone keeps asking if I am having fun planning. I tell them that I HAD fun planning and now I am just so over it all and just want to be married. I can't wait to be an OMH!

For the most part planning wasn't that bad.  It had it's moments for sure, but it's been ok.

I think I won't know what to do once it's over. . . I may need to help someone else with their wedding, lol.

@PrettyGirlLost--Yeah wedding planning was fairly easy, I am just so done. Haha maybe I will feel different when it is all done.

So I had a problem with one of my side stones that kept coming loose.  I had to take my e-ring in THREE times, yes THREE.  At the third time I spoke with the manager who knows my parents as longtime customers and explained how frustrated I was.  They figured the prong was weak and he didn't want me worrying about it forever since it was reoccuring so they got me a new ring.  Now everytime I see him he [somewhat] jokingly asks if my ring is still intact and is super dilligent at checking it when I bring it in to be cleaned.
