Unity Candle placement

I am planning on having my wedding in a garden tent where there are no permanent tables or anything of the such to house the unity candle.

So I  am wondering where the best place to put the unity candle would be, behind us or off to the side (maybe).

Any insight to how you did your unity candle would be appreciated.

Re: Unity Candle placement

  • I've usually seen unity candles on a table to the side of the "altar" area.  I've seen a couple that were on a table behind where the officiant stood, on a altar of sorts.

You might ask your officiant for suggestions on where it would be most convenient.  Any small table with a cloth over it will be fine to place it on.
  • I've seen them off to the side usually, but a few have been directly behind where the vows take place. I will place ours off to the side on a pillar draped in fabric, so that it can be seen after they have been lighted.
